Star Trek : Discovery

Sweet Christmas! I feel like I’ve done a Trump and caused people to go to war over simple offhand comment.

Pleased I didn’t mention
I gutted I was at what happened to the security chief

Shields up... red alert!

It tells you that there's going to be a new character in this episode, it tells you they are going to get enough screen time to be more than just a background character, it tells you they are Klingon and that they are annoying.
None of that happened in the last episode
So it's episode specific
So it's a spoiler
So fuck off
I'm off to the pub to watch the footy
Kurnt.
Christ, you still going on man.

A Klingon? In Star Trek? That's a shock, episode ruined!

Lads, just read a leak for GoT season 8 episode 1. It's got swords, tits, and a dragon. You heard it here first.

Jesus! I am work for the day and come on and check this thread and find an argument going on over what's classed as a spoiler on a Star Trek thread! Have crossed over into an alternate reality and on the Big Bang Theory nerd group appreciation society

Mate, this comes up in literally every active US TV thread.

Watching it now.

Can't help but think crew members are a bit lippy towards Captains Malfoy and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon when compared to other Treks.

Episode 4 spoiler.

I enjoyed it!
I'm liking the show but it just doesn't feel like Star Trek. Between TNG DS9 and VOY it all flowed nicely, even enterprise managed to keep the feeling of treck. I just can't get around this being part of Star Trek, feels more Kelvin timeline to me.

Mirror universe lite for me.

I’m finding it difficult to get into. Most of the camera work is from a distance, there are very few close ups of the characters and not many reaction shots. It all contributes to the feeling of not being emotionally involved with the series. I hope that as the series goes on we start to see them spending money on the characters rather than the bangs and explosions. A couple of extra cameras would do the job nicely.

I agree and it hurts. Yes I know TNG took 2 seasons so did Voyager but The Orville despite it's 'trek light is hitting the mark. The 4th episode was straight from TNG
