Star Trek : Discovery

Loved DS9, was nice to see a slightly darker side of trek, plus the Defiant was a beast.

I'd still like to see a trek set after the events of DS9.
Tough little ship

For me it was all about the USS Enterprise ( I love the wanky space dock shots in TMP), exploration and science. I love all of 'Trek mind (still need to watch the animated series!)

They did talk about DS9 movies but Voyager and DS9 never reached the viewing figures of TNG so they didn't.

You should play Star Trek Online, you can run around DS9 as well as most of the universe.

Like I said earlier, DS9 was my favourite, until I heard how they ripped the idea off the writer of Babylon 5 and didn't even give him credit let alone his rightful share of the money.

DS9 is forever forever tainted for me now.

It's also not even as good as B5 with the exception of the visual effects despite having a massive budget in comparison.

So now, Next Gen has gone back to being my favourite ST.

I started playing it a while ago on Xbox but couldn't get into it, maybe time for another go.

Someone doctored a shot from the animated series to show Spock's full family with Sybok and Burnham

I quite enjoy the reboot mind. Does a decent job of capturing the spirit of the original series.
This. Although it took a fair few liberties, the reboot film was a lot of fun and I'd agree it got the spirit and tone spot on. Very well cast too.

Haway man, Wrath of Khan.
Comes third after ST09 and Into Darkness. ;)

(source IMDB)

And it's horribly dated now. Loved it at the time though.

I actually enjoyed Into Darkness and Beyond than I did the main reboot movie.

Not much of a fan of Beyond Ridiculous I'm afraid. Loved Into Darkness (why do the Picard lovers dislike that so much - not enough conference tables?), probably just a bit more than ST09.

Two of my favourite quotes are in that...

"He tasks me. He tasks me and I shall have him! I'll chase him 'round the moons of Nibia and 'round the Antares Maelstrom and 'round perdition's flames before I give him up!"

And

Kirk: Khan... Khan, you've got Genesis, but you don't have me. You were going to kill me, Khan. You're going to have to come down here. You're going to have to come down here!
Khan: I've done far worse than kill you. I've hurt you. And I wish to go on hurting you. I shall leave you as you left me, as you left her; marooned for all eternity in the center of a dead planet... buried alive! Buried alive...!
Kirk: KHAAANNNN!

Kirk: KHAAANNNN!

I love the build up, music and dialogue to the prefix code sequence

"Mr Sulu, lock phasers on target."

"Phasers locked."

"Time's up, Admiral!"

"Here it comes...."

The scene in the nebula when the crippled Enterprise is trying to escape, from 2:17 where the camera pans around the bridge and the music, always sends a chill down everytime I watch it.
