Star Trek : Discovery

UK Netflix behind the US again?

Baffles me why they’re delaying shows being broadcast here

There’s a week wait between Rick and Morty airing in the US and it airing here.

Why? It’s 2017.
Actually us in the UK have the advantage. If you want to watch ST:D in the US you have to sign up for CBS All Access. Which is a monthly subscription to a channel/provider service with hardly anything on it. Outside of the US we can get it on Netflix which a lot of us already have and has tons of good content.

It's confirmed that in the UK it will be shown at 8am on the Monday on Netflix.
I've got high hopes for this, but a lot of things from the last year or so surrounding the show has me worried. We'll find out soon enough.
You watched the Orville yet? Looked decent on the clips I've seen.

I was pissed about it for a while, but got over it very quickly.

When I eventually got around to watching the series, (skipping the intro music every time) I quite enjoyed it. Not as much as any of the rest of the ST shows* but I thought it was OK.

*Although DS9, formerly my favourite instalment in the franchise, is now forever tainted since I watched Babylon 5 and learned about how the writer had sent the idea to the Star Trek people, been turned down, and then they used his idea pretty much verbatim for DS9 without crediting him or paying him for it.

It might not be as good as TNG or DS9, but it's close. Certainly a million times better than that JJ Abrams shite
