Haven't read 8 pages, was Short at the game, I very much doubt he was so he won't be bothered about a banner.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Getting rid of Short on its own is no real solution, there needs to be a better alternative available. He can't go unless he has someone to sell up to. Whoever comes in, we have no idea of their motives, their ability to finance any recovery within the League's regulations, their ability to run a football club from either a footballing or a business angle.

We could well be cutting off our nose to spite our face.

That's not to say that it's all sweetness and roses at the moment. It's not, but knee jerking without any kind of plan is asking for trouble.

Woah woah woah, this is no place for talking sense. Let's instead make a scapegoat of the one man who has kept us afloat for the past several years.

Get the bedsheets!! All of the bedsheets!!!1111

Seriously cringeworthy stuff in here.

You are clueless

Living in Chicago, you have no idea how supporters at the matches are feeling. Short is killing the club and has been for years

Look at your avatar man! How can anyone take anything you say seriously. On the payroll...

Aye to be fair they are confusing. Be good if you could have a tinted Short out banner on your old avatar. Facebook style overlay.

The same was said about my James McLean avatar. Now we have <<Gaping hole>> in his place.

The club is in shambles. I see this. But I think the "short out" bedsheet brigade is taking a very simplistic approach to how things can be fixed. It's not that simple.

How do you think it can be fixed then?

Short is the problem. He's made endless mistakes and has no interest anymore. If he goes there will at least be some optimism

It's like buying a dog off your mate that they tell you they love but has outgrown them. They're a lovely animal that can have pups you can sell every few years and you'll be a hero. Then you buy the dog, find out it needs thousands of pounds worth of operations every few months and because the kids love it, you know, you can't just put the poor thing down. So you try to find it a new home but nee one else wants it. So instead of these regular operations to keep it right, you just bung it a load of painkillers( which actually cost more than the operations would) and in the end you resent the little fucker but won't give it to a shittier home. Or summit. I dunno.

Mmmm ... sweet & sour doberman. *gurgle*

Its like being on a plane and not liking the pilot shouting PILOT OUT! ok so the pilot jumps out with a parachute, plane crashes everybody dies. Can you see what I mean?

I think trying to run the club in a manner that doesn't require massive deficit spending is a good start. Focus on home-grown talent, and find a manager that doesn't need jillions of pounds to compete. Get the spending and the deficits under control, and built from there. It's painful, and doesn't lead to instant gratification, but it makes business and footballing sense. Basically, your Southhampton formula, which we are clearly trying for.

Obviously an oil-rich awad dicatator who has control over a sovereign nation's wealth would be lovely, but it's wishful thinking most likely.
