Deserves a bump

Is he going for 40 mill like? ;)

He has definitely looked a lot better along side a fit Cattermole. Was getting worried off what happened in pre season (especially against Celtic) but credit to the lad I think he looks a lot better than he did towards the end of last season. Posted this thread after the Swansea game where he was alongside Larsson and they were just letting men walk off them left right and centre.

Can't believe Big Dong is getting slated

He's young, bags of energy and works well along Cattermole while Rodwell bless him can't even get in the team

Yes we overpaid and yes he's a bit raw but I like the lad and think he'll turn out to be a really good player for us or someone else later down the line

Has the awareness of a blinkered ADHD horse. Really lets him down imo. Certainly has the potential though.

I like him. Seems to have a great appetite to work. Looks to be present and effecting the game most of the time. Younger than Honeyman by the way. Needs to learn a little more positional discipline and I hope he does. Doesn't seem to be a great passer and not sure if he can learn that but you can be taught concentration so a 10% improvement is possible. His fee and circumstances mean he may stay with us this season and I hope that's the case. Can't see him and Catts losing too many midfield battles this year.

Deserves a bump

Why are you bumping this?

He was absolutely f***ing shite last season

Been excellent this season, but in case you hadn't noticed, we are in the league below

He was our best player post-January last year, bar Pickford. Not much competition, bit he was one of the few that fought till the end.

Playing well this year too, must be one of the top few CMs in the league.

He had a brief period, but he had gave up late on, think you are forgetting. He was actually picked out on Match of the day a few times when I wasn't pressing the ball or tracking runners.

Needs to learn to pass the ball off at times, keeps getting caught by holding onto it too long and running into a dead end of opposition players.

Few times both him and Catts (who does it all the time) were marking nothing whilst their players were left with acres of space and time on the ball to pick passes. They need to close down a lot better. Weirdly they were doing it in the first half then just seemed to sit back more. Our players mostly looked absolutely fucked 2nd half, they are in for a shock in this league if they are fucked already.

Thread is from last season after the Swansea game.

If we could get good money for N'Dong I wouldn't be against cashing in. He's by far the most energetic midfield player we've got but when you're rivals are Gibson, Rodders and a rarely fully fit Catts that's hardly a high standard.

I honestly think Grayson could find a suitable replacement for far less than we'd get for N'Dong. We might not replicate his energy but it wouldn't take much to improve on his passing, touch and vision. If we replaced him with a better footballer we mightn't need a duracell in midfield as we might be able to retain far more possession of the ball.

He's been shite like. Was looking okay when we were winning but so did Papy and Kone[/QUOTE]
that's how Cattermole is lauded with a few 'hard' tackles, clapping hands and looking angry.

I like Cattermoles positional play. Seems to pick up a lot of second balls and helps recycle the ball. Can see why people don't like him but he's my type of player. Definitely compliments Ndong too

Yet others say and I agree Cattermole backs off when we on the back foot and they were both at fault to allow the shot that they scored from

Showed he had something about him last season, bit raw which is understandable, needs to keep learning. Being played in the correct role and position this season, which he wasn't for most of last. Our most important central midfielder given the formation we're playing and our approach.
