Such a perfect day

Just spoke to me Dad as they were travelling to a holiday cottage this afternoon and didn't listen to it. Told him our result, the mags result, Shelvey's sending off and that Colback has been dropped (he blames Colback for his stroke/paralysis issues). He was nearly crying down the phone because he was so happy :D

Why, if you don't mind me asking?

It was after the 3-0 win at their place where Colback scored last. Dad had been jumping around like a lunatic after his goal and then started getting a pain in shoulder so thought he'd pulled a muscle when he was celebrating. The pain got worse through the night, so he went to hospital where they said it was his heart and they thought he was having an angina attack. They gave him some medication and kept him in for observation. He then had a massive heart attack. They ran tests and said he needed a quadruple bypass op. He had that and was in ICU afterwards when he had a huge stroke that left him severely paralysed down one side. All that happened in India and it was months before he was well enough to come home in an air ambulance and he's never fully recovered from it. So he blames Jack Colback for all of that happening!

Ah, really sorry to hear that, but (regardless of Colback leaving like he did) does your dad blame him in a joke way (if that's possible regarding the circumstances) or is he really pissed off with him?

A very good day indeed. Didn't expect us to win so well but I knew the filth would get humped pity Spurs didn't rack up a big score. Most of my mag mates thought that if Alan Barnes hadn't been sent off they would have won!!!

Bit of both! It started as a joke but then when Colback left and said all the crap about the bigger club, that really pissed him off!

Having said that, when he was unconscious in intensive care, he opened his eyes briefly and looked like he was going to say something. My Mam was sitting on the edge of her chair waiting for him to speak. He looked at her and said "piss off Pardew" and then went back to sleep again :lol:

Might well have got a point. Set up perfectly for a dull nil nil.
