Oneplus 5

Thinking of getting rid of iphone is the oneplus 5 worth a gan?
Looked at getting one of these anarl.

Tech bloke in the Telegraph said it would be his number one choice of Android phone.

Dunno anyone who has one, unfortunately. Probably end up getting a Samsung S8.

The one and the three were/are both good phones. My mam has my One, and its still running perfectly. The 3 I have is still spot on and I see no reason to upgrade.

Only issue with the 5 is that its a bit pricey, £450+ for a no-brand phone is a bit much imo, I'd rather have a mid-range phone from a better brand (just for follow up care if it breaks)

I was looking at getting one but the lack of expandable memory put me off. Think I'm gona go for an S8 plus.

Samsung still have SD card slots?

128Gb is more than enough for me anyway mind. In fact, I barely use more than 16Gb

It's expandable up to 256gb as far as I'm aware. I use it mainly for music. Having said that, since I've started using Spotify premium I probably don't need it. I've probably got 16gb of pictures and videos from daft group chats that I can't be bothered to delete as well!

I have a OnePlus 5. Upgraded from a OnePlus 1 which was brilliant.

Five is spot on too. Far more tech than I will ever need and will last me 3 years like the last one did.

still have the OnePlus X which has served me well for a few years. great phones but they're moving away from what made them appealing as the prices of every new release are increasing quite significantly and there's not many people other than techies who are going to pay £500 for a chinese branded phone

It has a lot of issues reported, but it's new so I guess thats expected.

Screen issues which they are ignoring, not sure what the current state is.

As others have said OP have gone against what they initlly stood for, which was cheaper (lots) than the others.

Had the oneplus one which was great value for money switched to the two which is also great value but prices are now too much to justify another switch will stick with the two for foreseeable future

Exactly.

The new range of Nokias might be the "new oneplus" though. They look very interesting.

I bought an Honor 9 last month. Arguably, the best bang for you buck phone you can buy. Fast as oot and looks great. Worth a look.

Same here. I ended up replacing the OPX with an Lenovo P2. £200, absolutely ridiculous battery life, easily fast enough for anything I need.

I had the 3t and it was a superb phone. Was gonna get the 5 when I broke my 3 but opted for the Huawei p10 instead. Really should have went for the 5 tbh. The Huawei is still a cracking phone but the 5 is the way forward and much better than any Samsung or iPhone.

I wanted to at least consider the above but although it is still showing on the 3 website they haven't got any left and there's none in any of the 3 shops either. I believe levono are taking over Motorola so they are rebranding.

Like the poster above I have opted for the Honor 9, nowt upfront, £14.50 for 6 months, £29 after that, works out just shy of the £26 I'm paying now. 4GB data and unlimited everything else. Looks a great bit of kit, great reviews, comes Tuesday.

I have a S7 for work, canny but I didn't want another Samsung.
