Sunderland V Derby Match Thread

Cattermole has been class like, pity he'll get injured in the not too distant future, Galloway looks slow and gets beat far too easy.

Have to say I'm happy with that - lost a goal in one period of weakness, otherwise showed some creativity and fight. Questions at the back, but at this level so far we look a decent, if so far fragile outfit.

Galloway definitely struggling up against the pace and power of Russell but to be fair to him, Kone is no cover at all. Browning is doing well.

Been the better team, just need to keep focused defensively and keep the pressure on going forward.

Generally, the better team, however, we have some weaknesses. Steele, Galloway & Vaughan have been poor. Vaughans a trier mind.

Honeyman has done well for me. McGeady also, Catts, and Browning have done well, the rest pretty average.

I forgot how shit the Championship is.

Good half. More of the chances. Have to stay organized in the back. More chances to come. Catts a little unlucky not of scored.

This season is going to be a lot about effort, enthusiasm and motivation and I have to say that so far the signs are good and we're certainly a little better than 10 year veterans of this league Derby.

The full back on the left seems a little short on pace and positional sense though, as but for him being the wrong side of the player for their goal we'd be deservedly in the lead.

- Dominated one of the better sides in the division for 45 minutes
- Did not capitulate as we normally do after conceding first
- The midfield has been a level above
- Work rate excellent, especially Grabban who is making selfless runs into space offering an outlet

On the other hand, Steele and Galloway are an accident waiting to happen.
