Not being able to sleep

I'm a shit sleeper to start with and any slight noise wakes me or keeps me awake. Had to take the battery out the wife's clock the other night as the ticking was keeping me awake. I wake about 10+ times a night, been even worse the last couple of years with pain in my hip keeping me awake if I roll over during the night.

Had some strong sleeping tablets years ago off the doc and even woke during the night on them.

Really struggling at the moment and it's getting worse. Now that I seem conscious of it probably.

Tonight's been very difficult. Run out of nytol too.

Its a nightmare like.

I know people say don't watch TV or computers etc, but one thing I found that worked for a bit was to have say episodes of your favourite sitcom or whatever on. If its one I have seen so many times, my brain is almost thinking about the next line before it happens, and slowly I drift off.

Might not work for everyone.

My body clock is messed up at the moment. I feel ready to go to bed around 7-8pm, then I'm wide awake and ready to get up at 5.30am
Not wanting to be rude, but why not get get up at 5:30 and get on with your days. After 1-3 days it might push back your go to bed time.

I ended-up addicted to the fucker for over 10 years. Was buying it online, after the Doctor refused to give me any more. Not pleasant stuff.
That's what I was still waking up on. Also had a really bad reaction with citalopram which I was taking at the time, sackless doctor didn't read up when she prescribed it.

Prickly f***ing heat keeping me awake tonight:evil:

They gave me Citalopram as well mate and couldn't wait to get off it. Apparently there are higher chances of dementia with it.

I'm working away at the moment (Brighton) and on the days it's hot (like today) I find it hard as fuck to sleep on a night because the room I'm in is red hot (gets direct sunlight from about 5-8pm)

Normally I'll find a joint knocks me out before bed but I haven't risked bringing any with me away since I'm sleeping at my actual temporary place of work (boarding school)

Only got this week to go though thankfully.
