Any tips for decent price on Hokas? Just been diagnosed with gilmores groin/sportsman hernia, I can still run steady but no pace at sll. Anyone any experience with this?

Comparison Site

Review site that has comparisons as well

Prices seem pretty static on the discontinued and new stuff, Millet sports sometimes seem to have good deals but have to get in quick as they have limited sizes.

what kind are you after. ive ran in challenger atr 2 and 3 and on road in some cliftons both of which I like. I also tried a pair of speedinstincts but I thought they were crap.

Only running 3 times a week but gonna up that to 4 times a week at end of the month , just tried my first session (kind of) of 2017 ... 2mins on / 90 secs off x 6 , just round farringdon XC course , not fast and only did 6 but at least got heart rate up .
Had toyed with moving into triathlons as luckily I can swim ok but the cost of decent bikes has put me off... great thing about running is it's relatively cheap and just fits in nicely

I had read cliftons were decent so was thinking about them, open to suggestions tho. I need the cushion for one of my toe joints so as ling as lightish and comfortable. Cheaper the better also ha!

No point in buying a 5k bike if you've got 50p legs

I think the bike must make a difference dan, lad at work does triathlons now and some of the costs he mentions are nuts, would quite like to try it but cant afford to spend over a grand on a carbon bike, it seems a very expensive hobby compared to just running

Triathlon is a very snobby sport. You can spend 1k on wheels to gain 20 seconds on a sprint triathlon. I was beating people on 3k bikes using my second hand basic scott road bike which cost 160 quid

If me 50p legs don't get crocked again over the summer but find I can only ever run couple times a week I may seek advice off you to go down that route mate , wait n see if I'm still running in couple months first, have feeling it's cycling I would struggle with out of the 3

just a m0untain bike mate, although can and do use it on roads... don't have a racer though.

with not running much i've been out on bike couple times recently and went out with one of the harriers couple of weeks back, this lad dropped me within 5minutes, if he could swim he'd be shit hot at triathlons, said when he was younger he use to train on the bike with a Tom Doughty (ex-harrier) who was a GB standard triathlete and low 15min 5k runner , dunno if you know him or not ? have noticed couple of the top morpeth lads have moved into triathlons.

@MagicRat , was talkin to lee and he mentioned you're calf been playing up ? whats crack ?

Anyone doing the Durham City 10k tonight? I was hoping for a decent time as I had been flying up until Monday then my back has gone off again. Looks like I will be ibobfofen assisted tonight

6k in 29.02:eek:

I did my first 6k run on 1st July in 31.31. Now 6 runs later I've knocked almost 2 and half minutes off that time.

Have no idea how I'm doing it but it feels great.
