Looks like he has technical deficiencies, but I'd give him the rest of the series - it's not as if all the other batsmen are scoring runs and he isn't - Root apart, they're looked garbage

Move Ballance to 5, where he's scored his runs at County level. Jennings is only 4 Tests in but woefully out of sorts, could go either way.

I think they'll keep both, but bring Stoneman in and drop Wood or Dawson. Ballance to 5 and move everyone else down a position so you have Ali back at 8

Bairstow, Stokes, Ali at 6,7,8 has been superb, so why they've messed about with it I have no idea.

So go back to that, put Ballance where he is most comfortable at 5 and bring in and opener/ number 3.

Next game is at The Oval so likely they keep the 4 seamers so Dawson goes. I'm not one for for chucking everything out after one bad result, but if Keats or Wood were dropped they couldn't complain too much.
