His predecessor in Durys previous band has half a dozen paintings in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition atm. Crap they are. Humphrey Oceans his name and Iirc he had a flop single on Stiff Records with the feller in Durys previous band who is played in the fillum by the tall skinny kid from The Office and those pirate fillums. Russell is the chararacters name and he walks out on Dury and is replaced by Chaz Jankel.......who later wrote Ai No Corrida which was a big hit for Quincy Jones....I think.
I'm sure Humphrey Ocean was married to Anne Nightingale. Anyone confirm this?
