What type of car do you drive?

Got a Honda Civic back in 2002. Never got round to trading it in and 15 years and 160,000 miles later still have it. Starts first time every time and simply thrives on neglect! In those 15 years it's never let me down.
Flew through its last MOT with no adviseries. It's probably worth a hand full of washers and a bit if string now so looks like I've got it for the rest of it's life. Hopefully I'll give an update on it's reliability in another 15 years.
In the meantime our lass has had a couple of Fords, a Fiat, an Astra Sport and currently drives a Mini Cooper. None of them can even approach the reliability and build quality of my trusty little Honda Civic.

Great cars with superb reliability and build quality. I buy a five-year old Honda every five years and get my local garage to do a service at MoT time, but never had a big bill. My last Civic did 300,000 miles. Had a couple of Accords. then the last two were Civics. Currently got the 2.2 diesel in dark metalic grey. 140 horses and goes like stink, but I drove an R Type recently and might give up the skinflint approach for a bit more fun.

Having fallen out of love with cars a little bit I'm back into it now.

Porsche 991.2 Carrera S as my daily drive. Not regretted it for a single minute.

We have a XC60, basically a work horse for towing th caravan and has awd so my wife feels safer in bad weather when she's out and about for work in County Durham. It's the D3 model so the same 2.4 engine as the D5 just detuned, ive been meaning to get it remapped from 163 to 220 for over a 18 months and just never got round to it.

I had a Mazda for 9 year, never missed a beat: went all over the place in it.

Sore point.

Got an XC90. Sadly since having the daughter we haven't changed the wife's car and as it's unsuitable for a child seat I have to take it tomorrow.

Pink Nissan micra convertible. 2006. Was a special edition for Breast cancer

Mk4 Golf GTi.
Three door, silver, leather interior, Santa Monica alloys, and best of all, the 150bhp PD Diesel engine.

I never seem to get less than 40mpg even if I hoof it a bit. Loads of torque, brilliant in-gear acceleration for overtaking, and very safe handling.

It pretty much saved my passenger's life a few years back near Leeds. I was going round a large roundabout when a scruffy bastard in a banger came down a slip road so fast he hit the roundabout and totalled his car. The Golf stopped on a sixpence in a dead straight line. I was so close to him he couldn't open his door to get out.

I f***ing love this car. Mk4s aren't pretty, they're anonymous and bland, but by God they're a brilliant car.
It's looking a bit shit now, I really have to get it done up.
