spreads false rumours about credit limits and meat quality. the lad is clearly a mag with his relentless tirade on local businesses, he is barred
I'm barring him from all of the pubs I have bandits in aswell.

I get the impression you don't like Adam and John

I bear them no malice at all Adam lad. Just because John has sailed close to the wind with his meat suppliers in the past does not worry me at all.

They (John and Richie C.) should have sussed this out when they were doing the place up.
But it was probably an oversight, and the pair of them never realised that an old pub when full of patrons and being mad hot would just open it's windows.
But nowadays people who are sitting down for a first class steak meal would expect first class dining conditions, which includes not sweating their tits off when the place is chockablock with punters.
Just bad planning, but I wish them every success.

And I do intend to partake in a meal there sometime, which I shall report back on here.

Just look at his username. Clearly a butcher who's been put out of business by the stirks

I'd say everyone in business has sailed close to the wind at some point with their suppliers,it's part of being in business I'm afraid .

:lol::lol:

you put stirks family butchers down at every opportunity (roadkill anyone??), and now its going to catch up with you

So all you in the knows...any chance of telling them to dispense with the beyond naff serving food on bits of wood ?

Seriously it's f***ing 2017

They've seized on a great gap in the market to offer a cheaper alternatives to the miller and carters etc and located it where a lot of people who will love the wooden boards and chip baskets

Good luck to them, not a fan of either but if I am anywhere near I will happily try them. It's the food that matters not how it comes.

Naff as fuck...

Why would anyone love this part of dining ?
Local and hope it does well but chip baskets and slabs of wood
Someone have a word ffs

give ower you f***ing knacker

that report button does fuck all in the real world

Do you think they view themselves as in competition with miller and carter ? Going out is an expensive business for a family and if you're not arsed about how many days a steak is aged you'll go for an option like a chainpub / harvester but I see this stirks place as ideal for people who want a nicer experience 'fancier' meal etc

There's not a lot of price difference between the two

Was turned away last night. Not booked place was full. Pleased for them went to cavalier. Used to love it, not be back anytime soon. Waitresses looked a mess, menu scrap piece of paper, food ok though.
Cavalier was class this time last year- used to go at least once a week. Tomahawk steak all the trimmings for £25. Gone to pot now.
Went to his new place above the Dun Cow- £40 for the same steak, which is fair enough, he'll be paying higher rates in the town, but the sides were poor- small portions compared to Junipers. Won't be back to the Cavalier.
