I said we need to sign a striker probably from League 1 or 2 who can scores 20+ goals than paying 15-20m for one with our low budget, It doesn't matter what league they play in, if they know where the back of the net is then give them a chance

Is this the lad who came flying out the traps for Everton but got a nasty ankle injury with blood all ower?

Can't say I'm enthralled by it, my worry is that we sign someone like Vaughan, a freebie or loan and that's it till forwards banking on getting Watmore fit and playing upfront. I know funds are tight and we need to move more wages but it just shows that Short has no interest whatsoever.

Confirmation from the club then that its mid-table at best for us.

What a time to be alive.
Fuck me, this boring cliche is this window's 'underwhelmed'. What on earth were people expecting?
Not that we will but if we now go out and buy Chris Wood and Benik Afobe as Vaughan has been signed as third choice is it still confirmation that the club was only targeting mid table?

That means he's missed 16 games a season.

There's no positives about signing an injury prone 28 year old from Bury.
Especially when he managed a fairly shit 7 goals in his last 45 championship appearances with 0 coming in the last 19.

I reckon Short and Bain heard all that talk of moving the training ground to London to attract players and realised it wasn't a go-oer as we couldn't afford the land. Instead they saw Liverpool, Everton, City and Man United attracting talent and realised they could probably do it on the cheap in the North West so have bought a plot in Rochdale, set up our entire scouting network over there and we're primed to hoover up all the surplus stock in that area.

Forgive me here but I'm pretty sure most outfield players over the course of a season don't play every game week in week out bar goalkeepers for the most part.....
