Benitez Future In Doubt Over Failure to Secure Key Signings

Seriously though, what are the reasons behind you not wanting Benitez at Sunderland.

I'm assuming it's nothing as silly as him currently being a Newcastle manager?
-Recent relegation on CV
-Seems to demand funds and we don't have many of those to be demanded

That's a start

Patronising bollocks. Why would I want him as manager?

He's a cheque book manager, and I don't like the way he uses the media to put across his demands. Surely you're not naive enough to believe this isn't how he plays the game...

He's not what we need

1. lose on your debut
2. scrape a draw in the derby
3. lose away in 6 pointer at norwich
4. drop the greatest midfielder englands evaaa seeeggn
5. drop the best targetman in history for a finished cisse
6. play keep ball away to villa with 1 up front and create one chance all game.
7. assume safety is assured with 3 games left.
8. beat spurs in a pointless game and pretend you just missed out by a gnats hair.

He delivered the title, turned us round on and off the pitch, is a nice bloke and is the kind of manager to stand up to a niggardly owner.

I know full well that he uses the media to strengthen his position and applaud him for it. Ashley and his cronies run roughshod over previous incumbents and Newcastle United suffered for it. Keegan didn't know how to use the media to fight back and paid with his job, Benitez does know and we're more likely to get the players we need with him at the helm than if we were managed by someone like the avuncular McClaren or the toady Pardew.

Ultimately though, the man delivers results on the pitch and that's what is most important.

crazy if you expect decent players for penny's , that you can sell on at a profit. every chairman will know ashleys game.

Rafa Benitez is hoping Newcastle United can get to grips with a “crazy” transfer market – after a slow start to the summer window.

And Benitez – who attended yesterday’s Foundation 1892 Cup at the club’s Academy – has spoken about the Magpies’ efforts in the transfer market.

“We know where we are,” said United’s manager. “It’s not ideal, because everybody wants to see a lot of players signed already

“But we have to keep working and trying to find the players we want. Hopefully, we can do it.”
