Durham v Northants (T20 Blast)

Well I'm actually going to be watching my first T20 match at the Riverside since 2004 today.

Thanks to the FTECB we're virtually out of the competition already so seeing as how its going to be a lovely Sunday afternoon weather wise lets just hope for an attendance as massive as the Big Meeting yesterday!!!:):)
 
the mrs and i will be in attendance, so please no uncouth shouting, fornication or general scratter behaviour
 
gan well this. once again i couldn't be bothered with it.

i feel bad as durham could do with my money but, well i'm a member anyhow and i just dont really care about t20.

doesn't help that we're not good at it and with the points penalty we're pretty much out already

Rest assured mate you made the right decision.
As I stated I haven't been to a T20 since 2004 and after that glimpse into the bowels of Hell I will gladly give it a miss for another 13 years.

That twat on the mic....loads of totally disinterested kids...dickheads in the Upper Tier...Castle Stand closed ...shit fielding by Durham...predictable stroll by Northants...left with 5 overs to go.

Ah well...only 6 weeks or so to the proper cricket again.

Spot on with the disinterested kids and dickheads.
 
It was very poor. As the above poster mentioned, 2 groups in the county Durham upper loudmouths not interested in the game, had to be warned once due to foul chanting. The cricket itself was poor. Bowling was mediocre (I though Weighall was ok), and our fielding today was embarrassing as it was on Friday. Probably won't even bother with the next one
 
Would it not make sense to farm the T20 out to South Gosforth,(or other of our former out grounds) much bigger potential catchment areas

Have not been to either match but got a text of a Riverside regular after todays match who said "we look like a 2nd eleven"

Pretty much spot on. Said at the interval I felt we were 15 short. We had 2 free hits, scored 1 run. We scored 35 off the last 5 overs and dropped Duckett on 1 run which was a very easy catch. Frustrating
