The problem is Football has nothing to do with how many supporters you have its location, money you pay players & tv revenue then manager / owner....Short & Ashley do not want to risk or play the new money spending game...

I keep hearing that but the players sold were bought for decent money a few windows previously. Didn't mcclaren spend around £80m the previous summer. I accept sissoko was a canny profit, but they lost loads on other players like Cabella, riveria and others I can't think of.

Is it not a case, as I previously stated that Rafa wants players that cost 15/20 mil and the wage cap currently makes it difficult to get the players to Newcastle. Ashley has made concessions in giving him more moneynyet rafa seems to want players Newcastle cant afford to pay.
