As long as we don't sell players in the meantime I'd settle for that. Kevin Ball can take pre-season.
I take it you mean "as long as we do sell players..."
Bids for our work-dodging centrebacks can't come quick enough for me.
There is not a single player I am desperate to keep. I'd love Pickford to be around but if the right offer comes then I wouldn't want s to block his progress.
The rest? Any decent bids and let em go.

Context mate. What I'm saying is that IF the club is being sold and Short won't invest in new players then we need to keep every player still under contract just in case the sale doesn't go through before the window is closed. 15 of the 18 first team squad players are either out of contract, returned to their parent club or want away....we couldn't put a competitive team out if we allowed players to be sold without replacing them.

Context? How exactly does keeping that shower of shite enable us to put out a competitive team? At leas the U23s know how to win. Get rid, get rid, get rid.

Could have said the same about the Chelsea players that got Mourinho sacked.

It's very frustrating the whole saga. If we have sounded him out and he's gone off on holiday he's either asked for time to think about it or told us in the terms proposed the answer is no.

Either way it seems he's not convinced by the job and that's the last thing we need right now.
Or he's agreed a deal, but can't do much whilst all the players are away on holiday. So rather than it looking like he's took the job and fucked off on holiday, they're just delaying it.

No harm done at all.
