From June 15, UK providers have to fall in line and not charge customers anymore for calls, texts and data than they would in their respective countries. A few companies have already come out and said they will allow this within their current plans (Three and EE have had it available for a while).

I'm currently living out in Spain and the tarrifs here are shit. Has anyone heard/know whether Giff Gaff will be allowing people to use their Goodybags abroad for free?

Giffagff's time is well over imo.

They're not even the best sim running on O2. Tesco is miles cheaper.
ID mobile on 3 are cheaper still

agreed. were spot on until around a year ago, where they have failed to keep up with better deals elseware.

Plus, riddled with ransomware ;)
the bairns are still on it for now with no issues, just better deals are popping up elseware. i will move them on if giffgaff dont up their game soon. with deals a click away these days, theres never been a better time for the consumer.

Ransonware bit was a joke. Telefonica got hit hard. Telefonica own GiffGaff (And O2)

and then when we eventually leave the EU, they'll start charging again

It's the Eu that deliberately held things up.
Most roaming charges should have been scrapped at the very least ten years ago

not sure what rate you are on but a UK sim from 3 for £24 is unlimited everything in most countries that you would visit inc Spain

Shouldve been. However werent. And in the end was an eu directive. Only time will tell if theyre reintroduced.

I'm living in Spain. I did get a 3 sim card a couple of years back but didn't activate it and decided to punt for giff gaff at the time.

And it's all well and good others telling me I should switch service providers, but I only have the giff gaff card with me.
