Moyes: Pickford wont be leaving

If this happened it obviously wouldn't make up for relegation but it would be some consolation. It's what I want to happen least as a consequence of going down.
I've loved having Defoe play for us but who knows he might have gone anyway and either way he's moving towards the end of his career. Jordan is a local lad, a MLF with years ahead.

As much as i like him, getting big money from his transfer is probably our only chance of getting promoted again..... we could buy about 6 decent players with the money in the right hands of course (not moyes)

tin hat on

Moyes is f***ing clueless. All players have their price especially at clubs in debt like us.

All I want to hear from him is 'I resign'.
He does pretty much say that to be fair. This is one time when Moyes has said very little in reality and also nowt to get our hopes up or annoyed at either.

I'd love this to be true. However, I'm somewhat doubtful. He's got more chance of making the World Cup squad than Defoe in my opinion.
Didn't Tom Heaton get in the England squad when Burnley were in the championship? Not sure

I'm biased clearly but if I was advising Pickford I'd say stick with us for another year and you'll play all season and end up learning a lot and being a better keeper for it. If we don't go straight back up then agree he can go then. If he leaves for another club now and has a couple of bad games early on he could end up sitting a season on the bench somewhere which would be a disaster for him

I don't think Pickford himself would need much persuading. It's more likely to come down to whether we need to get the £ in.

I agree. I think he should stay, but it depends on who comes in for him and whether he'll be first choice. Could set him back years if he's stuck on the bench somewhere.
