Anyone done it here?
Got my eye on a decent looking bat for £100 but really not sure of getting ripped off or not.
Was only prepared to pay £100 but it went for £114.
Reckon it was genuine as the bats gave a number written on all them as they are custom made.
Heard really good things about these bats but think I'm going to save up another £100 and get one made to my specs direct from them.
dont know if i'm eligible as by some quirk i've played more 1s than 2s this season. either way i'm telling the mrs i'm playing so i'll be down!!i have a barely used GM you can have mate £70 or look at Paul Aldred hand mades more than you want to spend but they are lovely. If your playing Friday I'll bring them along
I'd always be wary of a bat that doesn't have a model name or that describes the quality of the willow used.Individual but gone too high for me now.

Someone may have just paid £112 for a Kashmir Willow bat!!
Bespoke would tend to suggest it was made to their personal spec which may not suit you.
Wherever possible I'd say get along to your nearest specialist and pick the bats up. They'll have bats to suit most budgets and maybe have a quality bat with last years stickers on sale too.
This was my first proper bat when i was a kid and i loved it - was chuffed when they re-released them but to be honest mine just never felt right in use. struggled to play and proper cricket shots with it(this could be me being a bit shit mind!)Got an old grey nichols dynadrive for a fiver from the junkyard down road. Refurbed for about £20, nice now
If I was a proper batsman I'd have summat heavier, but it's about the right weight for meIt would have broken my cardinal rule of never buying a bat without checking how it picks up.
I currently have one of the newer release GN Dynadrive and the first time i picked it up i liked but as i've used it more its just not right for me. so i'm after something else.
Always been a gray nicolls fan boy but the prices are rediculous. A few lads in club have B3's and seem to like them and i can get a lower grade one for about £170 - just looked at the aldred cricket site and they do a butterfly grade for £175 - i've read a few reviews of these elsewhere and the consensus is they are silly value for money.

Most top of the range bats from big brands are now around £500-£600.In the late 90s ago the bats used by test cricketers were about £80-£110 to buy.
Have they really trebled in price since then?

sure have. Sales no doubt fallen, prices go up to compensateIn the late 90s ago the bats used by test cricketers were about £80-£110 to buy.

Am I right in thinking there is no new english willow, only old trees that are cut down ?My dynadrive 5 star was £160 about 3-4 years ago - a similar grade bat now is £250 - prices are silly.
The Gray Nicolls legend (which apparently is the top 1% of GN's willow) is listed on their website for £750.
This is why i'm looking on ebay - although the smaller shops are selling much better bats at a more reasonable amount. i definately want to keep under £200 but get the best bat i can.
I had a bat made up by Red Ink Cricket which was around £200 like was a lovely handmade bat for the price. My dynadrive 5 star was £160 about 3-4 years ago - a similar grade bat now is £250 - prices are silly.
