Seems reasonable given he will have presided over the entire case and not just read an inflammatory right wing tabloid summary and got the pitchforks out.

Not saying that you, @UTW, have done that but invariably some will.

or maybe the judge found that sentencing her wasn't justified based on the evidence and her character.

Then again maybe it is a huge conspiracy and people are rightly getting angry at a right wing tabloid piece on it

It's not a conspiracy. It's the old as time itself tradition of privileged people getting an easier ride.

At the risk of derailing the thread, the McCanns are a prime example.
