They forget they began with two defeats and in fact failed to do the double over THREE clubs. They also went out of the EFL Cup by Oxford. The biggest damning thing about their season is as so many have alluded to they didn't do the job earlier. It was a fight where Brighton fought them all the way and well for me. They stopped them from spending the entire season in 1st and took it from them on numerous occasions.

I didn't think it was as much of a dominant season as they like to have us believe.

Also they know nothing about us. We don't even! First day after the season ends we could make a big announcement that shakes things up, gives us a massive lift, turns things around and most importantly of all shocks all our detractors into eating their words.

Rewriting history has nothing to do with not accepting your lies......

On a different tack as I could not be arsed to search for a thread. A mag at work (I know, I know), but he is very level headed. I caught up with him about egg chasing and I said let's not mention us. He then said he was really worried about his lot going down to League 2 given the precendent
set before with other clubs, seemed genuinely worried!! Is there any chance? That would be absolutely tragic!!!! :lol::lol::lol:

We don't forget we started with two defeats like. Two reasons for that, 1) it's brought up all the time and 2) those two defeats set the tone for the rest of the season.

We failed to do the double over more than just three clubs...
We were knocked out by Oxford.

So the biggest damning thing is that we only won the league on the final day? I'll take that. I mean literally every other team in that division would snap their hands off for that.

I haven't seen a single Newcastle fan say it was easy or that we were dominant. Though we did spend more time in 1st place than any other side, and ended up there so it's difficult to argue that we didn't deserve the title in the end.
