Craft Beer

Got some Snake Dog IPA from Tesco, can't remember whether I've had it before or not, some Elvis Juice too.
Me and my missus had an interesting afternoon on the old Elvis Juice, "well just have a few halfs of this and take it easy", yeah right!

Just dropped into Lous for a few quality ales,
Beavertown - Neck Oil
HighWire - Grapefruit Pale Ale
High Wire - West Coast Pale Ale
Yeastie Boys - Big Mouth IPA
Wylam - Jakehead ( be rude not to)

No EJ left in Asda Boldon tonight:(
Got a selection of other stuff instead. 2 big bottles of Punk and a can each of Brooklyn East IPA, Snake Dog IPA, Anchor Go West! IPA and Victory Vital IPA. Getting stated as I type.

High wire Grapefruit is nearly as good as Elvis Juice was drinking pints of it in POC before Christmas.
Fancy trying Bloody Ell by Beavertown. Any in Lous?

One of the easiest drinking IPAs around, lovely stuff. Was on it when I visited the brewery last year so was chuffed to see it sold in Tesco when I got back. :-)

Highwire is a Magic Rock beer, the brewery isn't Highwire. The grapefruit one is the same beer but with grapefruit added.

Lovely drink but it's a bit stronger than it tastes.
Went down a treat, thought it was a great winter beer.

Not a fan of the Neck Oil, never tried the others, seen the Jakehead in a couple of places but never imbibed.

Where in Manchester has Cloudwater stuff on tap/bottle/can? I've got half a day to kill there in June, sounds like I need to try their stuff.
Cloudwater are actually based in Manchester and have a tap room etc, just go straight there.

This actually - it's right near Piccadilly too I think. Their DIPA V13 is absolutely superb.

They now have another outlet in Manchester but the name escapes me currently.

Only open on a weekend though unfortunately. I'm there midweek.

Port Street Beer House almost always has something from Cloudwater on, as does The Pilcrow. Might strike lucky at Picadilly Tap.

Cafe Beermoth is a must, even though they rarely have Cloudwater on, if ever. The Marble Arch is a great pub if you fancy the trek out as well, it's Marble's tap house.

Look out for Track beers as well, they're second only to Cloudwater in Manchester, imo.

Edit: they have a shop on Sheffield Street, arch 13. Not sure of opening hours though.

@AndrewP was it you who was asking about this dragon stout or a meringue

Aye, that's true I suppose, I tend to go for the lighter ales.

Noticed, as far as stouts went, they had Camerons Tontine Milk Stout and Redwell Kofra - they also had a really strong and cheap stout called Dragon or something, probably too cheap to be good.

This dragon stuff is canny

1.39 a 284ml bottle at 7.5%
