South America

Looked all over Buenos Aires for a gift for my mate and was overjoyed when I found a pendant with the Newell's Old Boys logo on it. Will look spiffing hung on his wall, I reckon...

Off to Lima tomorrow, then a final trip to Machu Picchu to finish things off. 10 days left before home, can't believe how quickly it has gone.

Did one on the Boca/River stadium tours today. Thought you (and maybe some others) might like to read up and see if owt has changed. Linky.
I got a tour with a guide who spoke English. I was the only English speaker in the group so it was pretty much a private tour. I got to see the changing rooms (Sunday League standard) and get photos taken where the press conferences are. The one fact I remember was that the director's box has a settee at the front for Maradona.

Saw a picture of Boca's changing rooms and they looked well fancy, actually. Made me wish I'd paid that little bit more to go and see them! Must have had a makeover since you were there! River's stadium was a right dump, like.

Not sure if mentioned but the Ciudad Perdida trek in Colombia is fantastic.

Mendoza wine region in Argentina.

Rurrenabaque, Bolivia to go on a jungle trek.

just looking at flights from Ecuador, £240 return... I assume when you get there it's steep too? would love to go and will be a shame to go all the way over to S America and not visit but yer, money could be an issue
If you've found a flight for £240 you've got a bargain. I didn't do it as, all in, it came to over a grand for a few days. As much as I'd like to have went, that was just too much for me.
