I had a mask like the ones miners wear or those in a chemical plant, little white mask over your mouth.

Wore one at the FA Cup game in 2012. Steward got all arsey with me, grabbed me to one side "Stop being a clever knut and get it off or you're going out"

Same here, but I put it on just after Sessegnon scored and a smoke bomb had been let off so that's why I put it on......honest!!

"only those coaches forming part of the official escort will be allowed to park at the stadium and will be located adjacent to the visitors' turnstiles and exits. No further vehicles can now be accommodated , therefore any additional coaches or minibuses travelling independently must secure their own parking arrangements before travelling to the area, as they will not be permitted to park at the stadium"

"any person wearing overalls and dust masks ('smog suits') will be refused admission or, if worn thereafter, will be removed from the stadium.
WHED and his missus get ready for the match

There's signs on the A66 as you approach the ground that clearly say "away coaches". I think it's a scare tactic from the plod to try and get people to use the official buses, canny naive of them like.
You would think so mate. Imagine 50 or so mini buses turning up, full of sunderland fans from all over the north east and having no where to park :lol:would be mayhem if they enforce this. Which thick fucker, thought it was possible for every sunderland fan going to be at the sol for 5.30 on a work day. More ridiculous the more I think about it.

Last time wasn't many of us walking back into the town centre after the game, we weren't allowed to go straight away, coppers kept us penned in outside. Would be asking for trouble if it was a few 100 mind because of this stupid coach parking rule, where mini buses ended up parked in the town centre

We're driving up and having a couple of pints and some scran on the way up ..... great little place if you're ever passing btw,

We always have a few in Newcastle, before the derby matches, but Boro is just unpleasant with people to match.

There's something really sad and backward about them, it's like going back to the 1970's
.

I'm going on my own and thought about getting an earlier train then having a few quiet beers. Then I realised the Boro fans will hear my accent when I order a pint and I'll probably get glassed

Doesn't suprise me at all. 5.30pm departure is hideous.

They could have done a 6pm departure as we all know the Police escort will take it's time on purpose just so our fans get there as late as possible.

Leave at 6 and the rush hour traffic will have eased

Me and my mate did the same, although I cannot remember any of the stewards saying anything to us

I think it was cos I was a young lad, I was acting a bit cocky tbf. Nowt nasty just taking the piss a bit, the steward saw his chance to try and give it the biggun.

More than off topic, but your new pic is without doubt the finest kit in our history, and should be brought back immediately.
The first SAFC away kit my parents bought me. I also got the tie up for the socks and Vic Halom signed them. All these years later, the strip died of course but Vic's faded signature is still visible. I keep meaning to get it re-done next time he's over.

A few have commentented on an admittedly super kit.
