Bloke in the van initially. You're supposed to drive up to the cones in both lanes and merge in turn as the sign on the left states, which the Audi tried to do. She doesn't know he's not going merge in turn because he let a Ford in further back.

Audi driver goes on like a total knob though and it's a complete waste of police time.

Pretty much this.

The van driver should've let her in, but that doesn't entitle the woman to engage in a bit of reckless driving and preventing the van driver from leaving. She's a bad driver and if anything the police should have nicked her for road rage and driving into the cones. Her putting her foot in front of the wheel and complaining he ran over it was the best bit IMO. If she really believed anyone would buy that, she's simple.

I must admit the first time I watched it I missed the 'merge in turn' signs so didn't get why posters were saying the bloke had to let her in.

Not on merging it isn't.

Well they aren't, but if people don't let them in at the end, then they can't complain.

Merging at the pinch point means shorter queues and, more importantly it would seem for a lot of people, nobody would be able to 'queue jump' as both lanes would be full. It's people who merge early that create the condition for 'queue jumping' to take place.

It wouldn't make any difference to traffic flow. There's still the same number of cars and when you hit the single lane shit slows down. It's people that go on the outside just to save some of their own time, not everyone's.

Exactly. It doesn't change traffic flow but, as both lanes are being used to the max, the queue is shorter.

Both arrogant twats basically, first the Audi is allowed to filter in and the camera person is an arsehole for trying to make a point by not letting them in. What should have happened is the bellend Audi should have been let in but when it was obvious the cameraman is also bellend the Audi should have backed off.

But it can change traffic flow further up the queue - in this particular case at the Tesco lights and I've even seen the Simonside Arms roundabout gridlocked.

She assumed he was going to let her in which he doesn't have to do. She then attempted to bully her way in. He has right of way and she should have waited to be invited in, so he moved forward to stop her. He didn't want to invite her in. She was completely in the wrong.
You are correct. she should have merged earlier. I know you can use the whole lane but she left it until the cones were already shutting the lane. That's way to late to be moving in.

This is an example of people thinking they are entitled. When I drove a truck it's 1000x worse. Nobody wants to be stuck behind a truck so they will rush their families lives just to get in front. Then often enough they just sit in front at 40 mph.
The Audi driver was wrong as she had to filter in to the van drivers lane

Looks like merging so I would have just let her in to avoid all the f***ing hassle.
This is my approach on it. I don't get involved in this type of thing because I find people get way too angry over the little things. My journeys are less of a headache now compared to back when I would get wound up over the little things

Both didn't help that situation but as soon as she started driving into cones she was in the wrong, i did admire his calmness while she was screaming like a Harpy, and her foot !

So are you seriously saying if I go from my A3 to my mates Golf (which has the same chassis and looks similar inside) my driving changes? If I drive like a twat in the Audi it means I've always drove like a twat.
I honestly don't know why you get jealous of Audi drivers - they're not even our cars man :lol:

Are you alright over there? Seems you're having abit of a meltdown. I didn't specifically target Audi drivers I said is usually those, I'll add BMW, Mercs and VWs to that list if you want. Listen mate, I'm far from jealous about who drives what, I drive cars for a living, i just don't turn into a twat when i get in a BMW.

Despite already letting people in before her?

How many vehicles is it acceptable to let in? Surely a 1 from each lane approach is acceptable?

@Dogbark needs to hand his licence in immediately, and set fire to his car for the safety of mankind.

How many cars do you let in front of you?
I let my fair share in but am i f#ck going to let every single person who leaves it right to the very last just so they can get a few cars ahead.
