whats everyone subs this year ?

Was talking to a local premier league club about joining but they wanted £180 for a years subs.

Said fuck that.

Do people who get paid to play have to pay subs?
Great question !
Most leagues insist that all players are Bona Fide members of the clubs they represent, hence, yes, they should pay.
I would deduct subs off their "wages" at the end of the season !!
Heard a case recently of a club offering to pay a player for this season and he wanted ALL of his money paid upfront, before the season starts !

There are loads who want that. Weekly or monthly through the season i would imagine is the norm.

Never been in the position to be offered money

50 at LCC. More than welcome harmy!

Ps. If you are who I think you are I saw you in Aldi from a distance the other night

£60 at Norton Oakes in South Yorks league, plus a tenner a match Inc Tea

Meanwhile at Sheffield Collegiate it's a princely £250 plus £15 for matchday subs

The overseas at our club is on free gratis as we count him as a guest of the club

£250?!?!?! Plus £15 a week? FML! Extortion that mind. Fancy playing in Sheffield @Mrjardine? Haha

We get grumbles at £6 including tea, umpires etc. Play 5 a side for an hour these days and it's £5/£6 a man!

Even at a tenner cricket would be ridiculous value
Problem for alot of clubs round here is they can't get no one to do the teas plus league rules state a capped cost for the away club of £44 to stop rip offs.
We have ours done by a catering firm.
Also umpires are 35 a piece which leaves very little in the pot.
