Yep, contactless sometimes takes a while longer, depending on how the vendor handles the transaction.

Saying that, it can be the same (not as often) for chip n pin (i.e. asda petrol stations)
 
Contactless never shows up on my account until about 2/3 days later, chip and pin is immediate (or near enough).

Use contactless for everything nowadays, can't even remember the last time I used cash or chose to pay by putting my card into the machine.

Exact opposite for me (using my phone).

You must occasionally need to pay over 30 quid for something?
