Players seem to either be completely unreasonable or total push overs. No middle ground.

I tend to not care whether i piss them off. Always have a bath of kids pushing to break through so have no qualms about forcing someone to train with the kids and run their contract down.

Contract disputes are my favourite. I will not be held to ransom by agents

pretty sure that was supposed to say "batch of kids"

won the championship with the lads after being 4th on the final day and beating top of the league Brentford and other results going my way
Started to work a lot more on my tactics instead of trying to get a working one that is simple. Gooch has been very good and Lewis Baker on loan from Chelsea was good as an AP.

N'Dong cannit sign a new contract as he cannit get a work permit  I thought they were only needed when signing a new player?

Had the same problem with Montero at Swansea regarding contracts

Got a canny formation going with the lads back in the premier.
4312 - working well. counter attacking and direct.
Drew at home to Spurs first game which I should of won and beat Man U 3-2 away in the second game.

11 months left on his contract and hes just got injured for 9 months so little chance of selling him now

Despite getting just one point from my last two games against relegated Hull and Boro, I managed to (somehow) finish 4th thanks to City failing to beat Southampton. In true Ellis Short fashion my budget (combining the end of the season and the start of the new one) was around £8M - thanks for that. Plus I have only 65% of transfer revenue available to me.
I've done a lot of chopping and changing and I'm not sure how it's going to pan out. But I needed to get higher earners away and add to my squad depth and reduce the squad age on an almost one in one out basis due to the finances. I missed out on Phil Jones because I didn't have the funds in time and United wouldn't delay the transfer. After I raised the funds he chose Arsenal instead!
I'm not too confident of such a good season this time around but I'm hoping that my young players can develop and help us build for the next few seasons.

counter attacking tactic is going well. Only having 40% possession per game but currently 3rd in the league November, fancy doing a Leicester this season.
made my biggest sale on this years game selling Gooch to Dortmund for £20mill all upfront

He's gone. Squad are fuming. Managed to get £3.8m for him when he was worth £1.8 so im not too upset. He does leave a massive hole though, and just as its getting tight in the league (2 points between myself and second placed Reims).

Does anyone have the in game editor? Can you delete promises you've made to players/board on there?

My save's fucked up and I can't really play on unless I delete one of the promises but I don't fancy paying £4 for something I won't use unless you can change promises through it.

Come on then what is the most times your side has hit the woodwork in one game? We've just hit it 6 (SIX) times away at Elche and were beaten 1-0.

Making a decent impression with Annan in the Champions League.

Lost 1-0 to Bilbao
Drew 1-1 to Zenit
Lost 2-0 to Napoli.

Celtic's team though, I like my Irish players but they signed the best ones possible - Coleman, Hendrick, Arter, completely out-done on me that :D

For nostalgia's sake I saw my 2 captains from Dundalk for sale - Richie Towell and Daryl Horgan so we've re-united

Ended up finishing strong with Sunderland in 3rd place. Ellis expected champions league again while giving me 6mill to spend, 25% of money made while accepting a bid for my star regen. Decided to resign and Sheff Wed wanted me back so I'm back where I started. Ageing squad so going to need to change a bit. Have got 28mill to spend but seems to be hard to get rid of old players even for free.

Still going strong with my counter attacking formation, 4312 - Still score from loads of crosses even though no wingers and playing narrow.

One thing I have noticed is the opposition score a lot from my own players mistakes - either a blatant pass to the opposition, players not chasing the ball down, goalkeeper standing on line instead of coming out to collect a ball, and defenders not jumping for easy headers from a cross/corner.

Not one for blaming the game but seems at times the opposition are just meant to score.

4 crossbars from Yaya Sanogo just. Drew 0-0

Mate, please post ur tactics!

Have people started getting lots of injuries recently?

I loaded up the game on Tuesday afternoon to continue my SAFC save and the constant injuries are doing my head in.
I've got 3 or 4 of my key players out for half a season and then always seem to have another 4-5 out for 2-8 week periods. As soon as they get fit they pick up another one.

I'm into my 6th or 7th season with the best squad i've ever had and struggling to put out a team.
I've done a not quite as bad Leicester and gone from champions to mid table plodders.

Mate, please post ur tactics!
Sweeper (de)
FB(Su) BPD(Co) CB (St) FB(Su)
BBM(Su) CM(De) RPM(Su)
AP(Su)
CF(Su) P(At)
instructions are direct passing, exploit the middle, play narrow, tighter marking, get stuck in.
Team shape is Flexible and mentality is Counter.

you then want to go on your full backs put their individual instructions to cross from deep and run narrow with ball.
BBM and RPM want to be on roam from position and close down more. CM on stick to position and close down more aswell as the defaults.
AP should be roam from position, more risky passes and dribble more.
Just leave strikers, CBs and keeper as default.

For players. you want to work on getting a solid defence at first so you can win the ball and spark the counter. Then id recommend getting a solid AP so they can make the final ball to the strikers.
For the other positions, get players that fit best to the role instead of just trying to get the player with the highest overall rating.
Rodrigo De Paul was spot on for me in the AP role, bought for a total of 7.5mil in 2017/18 season and now in 2019/20 he is worth 32mill

Not going to guarantee that it'll work for you but working very good for me with a team with not much quality

We went on to retain our La Liga crown with Athletic Club but it didn't end up a canter at all! Horrid form hit mid-February (four losses from five games) and Barca reigned in the gap to be 3 ahead of us at one stage after beating us at home, a draw earlier in the season meant their H2H was better than ours and we needed to score more points than them.

In the latter stages we messed up with a 0-0 draw at home to Girona and Barca won again putting us behind them, but in the very next game we whalloped Espanyol and they were defeated at Deportivo. In the penultimate game we conceded a 93rd minute decider against Malaga and I assumed we'd blown it, but Barca were beaten 3-2 at home to relegation battling Cadiz!

In the final game both sides had away games, we travelled to Cadiz and Barca to Villarreal, with ourselves a point ahead. After a shaky first half we turned on the style to eventually win 4-1, Barca won too but the title was ours!

Aitor Goni was superb, 31 in 36 (43 goals in all comps) in the league nabbing La Pichichi and the European Golden boot and cleaning up the Spanish player of the year awards. Worth £54m now but absolutely indispensible, not often you get an actual 5-star player on FM!

A few extra bits from the season -

- Eibar were relegated from the league with a total of 9 points.
- Alaves pulled off a great escape, signing Luca Jovic from Arsenal in January he went on to score 17 in 18 games as they won 6 from their last 11 losing only once, comparing to just 3 wins before March! The relegation scrap was really entertaining with Huesca also surviving after failing to win any of their first 17 games!
- Sevilla pipped Malaga to 3rd place with RM finishing 5th (and sacking Zidane) and Atletico in 6th.
- Our B side had a quality season finishing second in the Segunda B2 but unfortunately lost in the rather complicated playoffs to Merida.
- The lads had a late dip in form to finish 13th in the league, but in a massive change in transfer policy they've just sold a young regen Finnish winger they signed on a free to Liverpool for £33.5m!

Actually qualified for the next round of the Europa League without winning a single game... Finished my Champions League group on 2 points and it was enough to progress :D
Drew to Zenit twice and just like me they lost to Bilbao and Napoli twice but I had the smaller GD so it was enough, bizarre but I'll take it.

Meanwhile elsewhere in the Champions League, just your standard 12-0 win with 22 shots on target. Actually lol'd at this hard so much I had to take a screenshot and show it.

Can anyone recommend any good - potential or established - full backs starting from season 2? That's probably my weakest area going into the future.
Maybe a left winger and striker too.
