I am confused by the fact you deem enjoying going to football, actually competing for titles and cups a failure because it cost money.

When you blow money like you knackers do and win the square root of fuck all, yet other clubs who have spent similar and in many cases much less have countless trophies to show for it (plus haven't been relegated twice in 9 years) then aye mate, it is a right f***ing failure.

Just one of many, many reasons why we laugh our arses off at you.

And that is why you are a mystery, all I want from football and life in general is memories, more good than bad. You deem it a failure but i remember Gillespie whipping a ball over for Asprilla during his hatrick against the mighty Barca. If it cost the club a few quid, and have EVERYONE laughing at Newcaslte because we never quite won anything then so be it. I still remember it.

It was decent for the fans (many turncoats in that number..), but it nearly ruined your club and spawned a generation of you that still think you are a force to be reckoned with. Hull reserves say otherwise. :lol:

There is no never quite won anything. You won fuck all. Nowt, yet you try and lord it over us, the historically most successful of the two clubs - and one good enough to stay in the Prem, despite no outlandish spending. :lol:

Went from almost relegated to the 3rd division, to winning promotion as champions, finishing 3rd, 6th, 2nd.
I'd call that massive success. If somebody like blackburn or forest done that over the next 4 years, they wouldn't have failed would they?

Such as? I can only really remember Everton winning the FA Cup in 95 that was out of the ordinary and were 'low spending' between 93 and 97.

Maybe, but when thinking of why i love Newcastle united i don't say because we won the F.A. cup in the 50's i say it's because i was born into it, what i get out of my commitment is nights like that against Barca. You dont get that languishing at the bottom of the premier league each year.
 
Happy Birthday Keego a top bloke who has never said a bad word against Sunderland in his life and had the guts to pick Phillips and Gray when they were still in the Championship.
