They don't seem to care they've spent good money on Murphy and Hanley. While we go off it because we we spent money on McNair and Love.

26 players out and 16 in. I'm not sure how that equates to having twice as many players  I wouldn't have many of their players at all. They have a handful that can step up and will buy and sell a lot when they go up. They also receive 55% of the premierships TV money this year as parachute payments so will get 20 million compared to our 35 mill and thats before you factor in the 20/30 million they have made in net transfers. In the premiership they slaughtered us on corporate and will still get much more revenue through the gate with bigger crowds and more expensive ticket prices. Their revenue pisses all over ours - in case you hadn't forgotten we are just about the worst run club in the country. You are flogging a dead horse wit your hatred for them making you blinkered.

However at least they signed Murphy.

You haven't a clue about tv revenue that's clear.

Ball park figures, the mags and us got £70M for the season just ended.

The new TV deal each team gets £70M, the mags get around half, £35M. However the bottom team get £30M for finishing 20th. Circa a £100M in total. The mags get zero extra as they haven't got premier league place.

But the £65M that the mags aren't getting is a drop in the ocean apparently.

I don't imagine for one minute the Chronicle knows the full details of loan deals and the triggering of transfer clauses. You seem to think they do.

Of the 26 players they got rid of, how many are kids on a pittance? How many are on circa £50K a week like Colback who's still on the payroll and their bench?

I notice you haven't mentioned anything about Sam getting players off our payroll.

I do dislike the mags. I also don't swallow the shite spouted by fanzines and comics like the Journal and Chronicle.

As I now know they'll go tits up in the next few years I'm not too bothered if they get promoted. Just gonna sit back and watch them implode.

We did of course. We no longer have the 75k per week we were spending on both Kaboul and M'Vila from last year. We have replaced them with much cheaper replacements such as Love, McNair, Anichebe and Djilobodji. What could possibly go wrong? The more money that you are arguing that we are receiving this year even weakens your argument - you need to ask yourself why despite receiving untold riches, money the club has never seen the like of in its history we are scrambling about having to sign the likes of Love and McNair and sign out of contract centre forwards who nobody else wants. Its because we have no choice. It isn't mag propaganda, its the truth and anyone with an ounce of common sense can see it.

NUFC are having a season out of the PL and will go up easily down to bringing in the neck end of 100 mill on players and still getting 55% of the TV money and much more match day revenue than us. Lets hope the boots aren't on the other feet next year because I cant see where we would be bringing in that sort of income.

Still we can laugh at them though - they did after all sign Murphy

I'll laugh at them signing the likes of Murphy, Clark and Hanley. I'll also take the piss that despite signing 16 players (according to you, I didn't know) plodders like Dummet are still getting a game.

I'll also laugh at people who think they'll sell poor players on relatively big money easily.

Other than ritchie and gayle its the team that got them relegated.
They have a full squad on long contracts. They will get promoted. What happens after that depends on the owner putting his hand in his pocket.

has he actually played for them lot yet?
I reckon Rafa only brought him in As backup. With Gayle, Mitrovic and Perez knocking the goals in, doesn't look like he will be needed

Keep laughing matey.....
We will wave to you as we take your place in the PL
I reckon Short will need to break the bank to get you back up again in one go

Yes 16 in and 26 out despite you claiming they had doubled their squad size.

Its comical man. The income our club brings in is an absolute joke, miles less than clubs like Palace for example and we are just about the only club in the entire league that is still making huge losses. We are staring FFP in the face and have been forced to slash our wage bill at a time where every other club are reaping the rewards of the biggest windfall in the games history. We are losing 25 mill every year, paying 10 mill and 60k per week for Jack Rodwell, being forced to scrape the transfer barrel and play kids that aren't to try and balance the books.

And you are laughing at Newcastle  There are two stereotypes. The arrogant delusional NUFC fan we get plenty on here and the obsessed with NUFC Sunderland fan. I find both terms are a generalisation and most fans don't suit either criteria but you certainly suit the latter. I can also hear another rib of yours cracking as you piss yourself laughing as they play Dummett every game on the way to winning the league, swapping positions with us while they struggle to sell Daryl Murphy when they go up.

The highlighted bit is deluded and borderline hilarious. Did you not see your top player Shelvey when not in possession of the football in the mans league? He's hopeless, gets caught out of position, makes daft fouls to make up for it. He got sold by Swansea and dropped by Newcastle because of it. Suddenly he's ripping the piss out of QPR, Rotherham and Brentford and you lot are touting him for England. He's your best player.

Your squad is nowhere near good enough to survive. That said Rafa will know that and you will buy more than 4 or 5 and will be OK.

Logically that makes perfect sense but there's been any amount of shite teams come up from the championship and stand the test of time because of the momentum that winning every week provides. In fact I think that is part of our issue. We don't have that momentum so there's 3 teams per season with a headstart on us already.

Shouldn't this be in the non-premier league thread?

It would be a shame to set that thread up and it not be stuck to imo.

Drugs or alcohol?

Flaw in your argument here. Sorry to tell you this. The black and white bastards have not made money on being relegated, you may think its all rosy over there, trust me it isnt
Why the he'll are you banging on about Murphy?
He was £3m. Peanuts.
Just a bit part who could step in for injuries etc.
Gayle and Ritchie were his main striker signings- £20m for the pair seems a fair deal.
You don't get this do you? NUFC are in profit, steamrollering their way back to PL - and Ashley has finally seen sense and handed full control over to Rafa.
Promotion will look so nailed on by Xmas that they will be bringing in 2 or 3 more Premier league class players in the window.
Murphy's sell on fee in the summer will not be a major discussion point

Stop babbling on man.

Daryl Murphy :lol::lol:

Based on what? The square root of fuck all?

By premier league standards there keeper and defence would be the worst in the league (maybe on a par with whoever comes up).

The rest of their players wouldn't get a game for a club like Everton.

The mags are flat track bullies at the minute. We saw first hand how good Beneathus is at premier league level with below average players.

They'll try to buy quality players but it won't be easy as every team is tossing big money around these days.

Is this the same Rafa that turned Djimi Traore and Vladimir Smicer into champions league players????

He had 10 games with us in the Premier League compare that to your messiah fat Sam who had 30 and still only finished 1pt ahead of us

Look at the players he won the champions league with Liverpool with some were as you say bang average

I see the mags are finding their voice again. How does anyone know how much they got for Sissoko ? 20mil has been reported and also has 6mil per season. This 30mil is pure speculation

£30m is pure speculation but the less-reported nonsensical £6m a year 'deal' and £20m (I haven't seen this anywhere?) are not?
