Moyes needs much more time.....

He fucked the job up before it even began.

Sam handed him a dossier and even spoke with him before taking on the job.

All he had to do was listen and carry forward the plan on the small foundations Sam had put in place. Stay up, finish mid-table THEN build.

But no, he knew better, flogged Kaboul, spunked £30m on shite and told us we were in a relegation battle from the start despite good form in 2016.

Good one Dave.

The situation David moyes has walked into reminds me of the period following Mick McCarthy's appontment. Now, like then we just need to take our medicine and the club needs to start planning properly for next season. This has been coming for a while and people need to understand the final couple of straws that have eventually killed us - namely selling kaboul, failing to sign mvilla and a striker - were not down to the manager. Staggering how people still blame the coach when we've had a succession of experiences, highly regarded managers in O'Neill, Bruce, allardyce, advocat and now moyes and it's equally shit. Tells you where the problem lies, don't you think?

I admire your backing for our under fire boss
Given time will he turn it around ?
As much as I really want to stick with one guy & give them time to rebuild the team his signings to date have been terrible
Unfortunately this is a results business & he is deservedly under fire
He won't last long

That's my fear.

The more we do it, the more no decent managers will ever want to come..

:lol::lol::lol:

Looks like you on here mate

Maybe you shouldn't be abusive to those who question him

Abusive...??? fuck off and go report me for something man, broken brains...! #grass

I'm at the point where I'm sick of firefighting with a new manager every half season. Just let him stay, don't think I'm up for the fight anymore

No, it doesn't.

We were genuinely building under Sam - becoming an organised, solid team with a great chance of a decent, comfortable season. The team, manager and fans had a unity I hadn't seen for quite a while. Now it's all fallen apart.

He got just under a year at Old Trafford and exactly a year in Spain. I think after a year here we will have a good idea.

Not just Moyes but any manager.

I see plenty of comment both on here and elsewhere that at some stage we are going to have to stick with a manager and give him time to build.

Despite what some think, this is not a guarantee of success! Just because we decide to stick with someone doesn't mean that all of a sudden one day things will click. It can just as easily (and much more likely) get far worse and never get better.

Do you think Moyes would stay if a better job came along? The answer is no f***ing chance. So why should we blindly stay loyal for the sake of it?

He has got great pedigree, he was headhunted 3 years ago by one of the biggest clubs in the world, he has did a similar job before (albeit 12 years ago).

However so far despite an injury crisis, I have seen no indication he has a f***ing clue what he is doing, we dont look as though we want to even try win a game.

Allardyce lost 8 from his first 11 games here but you could see what he was doing and apart from the village idiots, we could see he was going to get us better in time. Moyes has shown none of that so far, and I am normally a happy clapper.

Because he is seen as the solution to the owners plans of recovering investment before he thins out, unfortunately this will not be communicated to the fans who turn up thinking we may compete in a few games, and maybe even dare to win.

Participation in this league has long been pointless, and is now futile to the extreme.

We are in actual fact a fantastic football club, and we have knowledgeable and committed support, but this means fuck all if those at the helm have no vision, and are clueless.

It is an absolute f***ing shocker, and actuall embarrassing that we are seen to be doing this shit again, we are Sunderland, lets f***ing compete.

Moyes is a defeatist, dour, and unispiring gaffer. Get them geed up for fucks sake, if we are this shit go wimbledon and fuck em up.

Utterly fabricated ( imagined ) claptrap that you cant prove one word of.
We were competing very very well only months ago. Almost the same squad. Moyes spent double what Sam was given, yet in your agenda driven mind Short is pulling out.
It's short's fault in your blinkered little world

Nah we are 8 games into a 38 game season. Get rid ;) Short termism has worked so well in the past I think our fans are used to it...

I'm not saying we should stick with him blindly, but how many games is it fair to give someone before sacking them, he's only had eight games and a large proportion of his first team squad is out injured.

I couldn't give a shit what others say about this sacking managers

We we're heading for relegation every single time and the decisions were right ,

There are no positives regarding moyes so might aswell do it now
