I've seen him play it a few times - it can be tough at times but it's pretty original stuff and very powerful and moving. Not too keen on the Ivor Cutler stuff though.
 

The 16 year old me is very happy today - new albums from The Bouncing Souls and The Descendents.

Well worth a listen, even after all the hype (I was worried about that too).

Swings and Waterslides and Boys That Sing (both promoted) are the best tracks on there.

Really Wanna Call and Cherry Vimto are my other favourites.
 
I've just got the Van Morrison 'It's too late to stop now...' Vols II, III, and IV. It's as f***ing awesome as 'Vol. I', which I bought about 30 years ago.
 
Unimpressed with both Blossoms and Viola Beach. Both pleasant enough, just a bit "meh".

Seriously impressed with the new Desccendents record though. Superb.
 
Anybody else see Low last night at sage2 ? Absolutely superb in what has to best live music space in the country.
