wow....

anybody know what the FFP rules are for expenditure in the Championship.
re: wages/transfer outlay.

Maximum loss of £39m over three seasons permitted from 2016/17.

A manager that has won a Champions League, La Liga titles alongside other honours will get us mid-table in The Championship?

I've watched The Championship this season and the standard is massively overrated. Joey Barton is one of the best players in the division and he's total wank.

Keep the likes of Shelvey, Perez (doubtful), Krul, Mbemba and Lascelles and I think we'll be just fine. Moreso if Benitez manages to persuade Townsend to stay on for another year. Players dropping down a level for what could possibly only be a year isn't unheard of, look at the likes of Buffon, Trezeguet, Del Piero and Nedved. I'm obviously not saying Townsend is that level (he's nowhere near), merely using it as an example.

Even the little ginger shithouse himself will probably find his level.

:lol::lol:

Don't know, show me where I have suggested that those are 'the rules'

Frequently? Yes.

Go and find me, say, 4 separate threads where I have said you're angry and I'll hold my hands up.
I'd be here all day going through your posts as you spend a few hours each and every day on here. We both know you've done it, we shall leave it there as I have better things to do with my time than search an obsessed individuals posts.

Life, go and get one you sad and lonely individual.

Well this takes a bit of the shine off relegating them, if only for the gloating that’s going to accompany his appointment.

Looking forward to fixture day though

I would say don't wish too much gloom and doom on them. We rarely get to play our main rivals, (10 games v Millwall in the last 15 years)

The fun of them being shit wears out a lot quicker than the pain of missing the derby

It is lucky that Boro have come up to replace them then!

Because you can't find the proof that I have requested.

I'm man enough to apologise if you can find it. Seemingly you can't so I guess, yes, we will leave it there.

I'm at graft, unlike you I don't spend my days dribbling on the RTG. Let me guess, you'd have starting posting on here about 0600-0630 this morning, is that a decent guess?

Edit** it was earlier than that! You really do need to get some form of life, what a sad bastard.

So nothing since 2009 like I said?

I see your point on the interest payments but it's his money and his club so it makes sense not to give the banks the interest payments if he can cover it himself. For example if your son/daughter wanted a car and you had the cash would you loan it interest free or let them go to a bank?

It's not as if he's wrote the debt off btw, it will still be factored into any sell price should, miraculously, anyone come in and offer to take the club off his hands.
Yes but would you be happy a couple of years later if your son/daughter said you never put your hand in your pocket for me after you bought them a brand new car.
I don't disagree but he is improving your financial position year on year despite not physically putting cash in.

Villa will be the biggest club in the championship next season easily.

After that, it's debatable whether Leeds or Newcastle are in second place.

Joking aside, this is nonsense

Villa can't live in past glories forever and their support is poor given their catchment area. Mags are a bigger club than Villa without a doubt

Me too.

Yes, I get up at 5:30am every morning and go on the internet for a bit. If I posted at 6:31am would this be more acceptable?

If villa can't live on past glories, what on earth are Newcastle living on that makes them bigger than Villa?

If he stays they can gloat all they like, the facts are he's got no experience of that division and it's a big risk. It depends on the players,I know, but he's got a few there who won't hack it and he'll need a different approach to the one he's used to. Going to be interesting.

So to summarise . . . the mags are keen to hold onto a manager with no proven ability at Championship level, utilising a group of players also with no proven ability at Championship level, in the hope that this will enable them to make an immediate return to the Premier League, the league where that same group of players have already proven themselves to be wholly ineffective.

I don't see any problems with that plan at all.
He did get two segunda B teams promoted to la Liga early in his career.
Can't believe he's only a year older than me like.

Has this whole Rafa shit not have a whiff of the Advocaat fiasco at the end of last season. ('cept he kept us up). A couple of lucky results including a roll-over by Swansea (who have done well since!!) and a dodgy penalty by an ex-mag vs Palace have made them even more delusional than they already were. Hopefully it will all end in tears and they'll end up with Warnock after the first 13 games or so!! :)

except dick kept us up, and had to be sent flowers
