To be fair Rafa has improved their fortunes. McClaren had a win percentage of just 21%! Rafa has improved this to a whopping 22%.

Also 10 games is not enough time to save a club from relegation. This has been proven by the times we were relegated after appointing di canio (8 games) and Advocaat (9 games). He needed more time.
What happened next with those amazing escapes from relegation?

Win percentages, like most modern football stats, are garbage. The worst are possession, pass completion and distance ran.

His signings were white, his tactics were awful, and the results were on the decline. People couldn't care less if the footballs bad if you're winning. That's another myth peddled out
He signed geremi didn't he? He's black.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

See, this is another 'fact' I don't get ......... Newcastle had a real chance only 2 games ago yet it's now being said 'it was too late'.

Newcastle were above Sunderland less than a week ago man

17 36 -25 33
18 35 -18 32
19 35 -26 31
20 36 -45 16
Townsend said we have the points on board which is better than the game in hand . Mr motivator couldn't raise them against the worst side in the league since Derby . He is now being lauded as the 2nd coming of christ and begging letters praying for him to stay . They certainly do get mixed up in the emotion without thinking logically . Hope he stays .

Yes, but it was shite ..... so where's the improvement since Benitez arrived?
You're all fanned up, so I'll make it as clear as possible: Rafa has improved EVERY club he has ever been at. My previous point stands: he'd have taken over here at the start of the season and the same would have followed.

Pointless statement as he didn't . U will never know .

Fair enough.

So let me ask you a 'yes or no' question ......... has he failed?

The amount of games you win doesn't matter now?

Rafa had a decent enough chance, if he's as good as they are making out. All he had to do was draw at Norwich and beat Villa, to have a chance. He failed where Sam succeeded. No stats. Just facts.

This is boring me actually, all mags do is move from one crazy scheme to the next with crazy self delusion and a total lack of humility and class.

I really couldn't give a fuck.

I'm just looking forward to what I moderately hope and expect will be a nice 12/13th place next season, based on our proven manager , team spirit, club togetherness , and what I expect, again based on evidence, excellent recruitment.

Then build again on that .

Happy days :)

Ask Inter, Napoli and Real Madrid fans if they feel he improved them
Yeah, I don't really have that amount of air miles and time to spare. You're certainly right on Inter, due to spending restrictions and discrepancies with the owner. I didn't feel that when watching them 4 nil up at HT v Spurs in CL a few years ago.

I don't think I'd even bother the effort with RM fans. You'd likely get more sense from a vagrant strung out on White Lightning.

Not as you might think.

There have been stats quoted that all of the following managers at Spurs had higher win percentages than Bill Nicholson:

Redknapp, AVB, Sherwood.

Reducing football to nicely packaged stats has continually failed to illuminate.

I just think it means 3 points.

Are you a mag?
