Newcastle Manager Situation

Big Sam is unfashionable. Job he did at Bolton was amazing really. Was going steady at mags, very good job at Blackburn and superb job at West Ham.
Rafa made his name with a fantastic job at Valencia and can't take Champs league away from him at Liverpool but they never really challenged for title which given resources should've done.
I'd have loved to see Big Sam get a job with resources Benitez has had but as the big fella said because he's not called Sam Allerdici it won't happen.

Sam didn't do a superb job at West Ham ask any hammer and they will laugh at you for that comment.

He's not a bit like that Ranieri chap and the situation is completely different

I admire your positive attitude (on this subject) but I fear there's a bit of whistling in the dark involved. In the past Ashley has completely botched up when it came to replacing managers during the season but if it's Benitez then I cannot see him failing to keep them up. Newcastle's defence is shocking but they've got some good players elsewhere who just need the right motivator to start racking up the points.
We can only hope Mike manages to surprise us. I think it's time for Richard Dinnis to return.

When the going gets tough
Tufty gets going.
:)
Hopefully, Rafa will discover, as did Dick, that polishing turds is not for everyone.

It would have been for Smiler Tufty to stay but ultimately, there back line is still dog shit and they're struggling to score goals.

It means nothing. None of it. It's all about the next 9 or 10 games and I would genuinely prefer Sam in this situation.

Talk about whistling in the dark

I don't mind admitting that the change in management has made our chances of stopping up look much harder imo.

The have Villa away which in itself should be a guaranteed 3 points for everyone who plays them. Still haven't given up hope or owt but it would have been much better if McClaren had stayed on.

He was always going to be sacked, I'm amazed they left it this long, just got to hope they have left it too late. They do have a pretty favourable fixture list and will pick up a few wins IMO, I reckon we'll be alright though, we have some winnable games and we're brilliant at winning under immense pressure, can the mags handle it like we have done?

If Benitez comes in he'll have 3 away games and a derby to kick off with ....... that'll calm things down on here.

No new manager has ever rescued a team at this stage.

Exactly. You'd think he was taking over a team who had world class players. We have shown how hard it is this season, Big Sam struggled until January before he could improve the team. The results speak for themselves after that, 4 wins, 3 draws 3 losses. Benitez doesn't have that luxury, he has what he has .... no goalscorer and a limited defence.
