He spent shitloads on Aquilani, Pongolle, Dossena, Babel, Pennant, Rivera, etc.
 
The thing with changing a manager this late is it is pure luck whether it will have a positive impact. I'm sure most would agree we got lucky when we did it. It can go the other way - what if he tries to change too much or too little? At the end of the day their defensive players are pretty poor. If he tries to shore that up doesn't he make a goal-shy team even worse that way? Basically, I think owt can happen and equally as likely is for it to go even more tits up. The bloke will have nowt to lose so will probably be too open - they might end up getting destroyed.
 
Just read that Benitez isnt 100% on this.... it couldnt be another 'audatious' attempt and another near miss...?? Please!

Totally agree, your board came across really well backing a certain player for over a year who's just about to get sent down to messing with underage lasses
