Im starting to think we might be seeing some 'stepped aside' posts in the not too distant future.
Other than hard cash, not many people, including mag pundits, can see why any manager worth his salt would touch them in their current state on and off the pitch. They found it hard enough to bag SM last time out, so its going to have to be a very special offer for a big name manager to sign for them.
The silence has been deafening, and any of the media outlets reporting seem to be jumping the gun a little.

That would be Villas then ours
that is a possibility ... benitez is just window dressing ??I bet they have Pearson lined up as a ' face saving' measure ........ having to continue with Tufty, after all this, would be unthinkable.
I honestly don't get it. Why would Benitez go to Newcastle?
Maybe a bit of jealousy here but it's a f***ing ridiculous move for him to make
they have not sacked the manager they have got at the moment...
and unless he can fix the worst defence in the league, its not going to help much
Indeed 'untenable' according to Lowes, the voice of the people. The other week I was listening to TotalSport and they had an ex-mag co-commentator (cant recall his name) for the build up to the Stoke game, and Lowes was giving it the big-gun 'great club appalling management what about the fans' line, and the ex-mag offered to get him a hanky to dry his tearsI bet they have Pearson lined up as a 'save our face' measure ........ having to continue with Tufty, after all this, would be unthinkable.
meeting cancelled again... according to local journos

"Like when they bid for Ronaldo and ended up with Shefki Kuqi![]()
Much rather Benitez got the job than Moyes mind. Not convinced he's as good as people think he is. A few cup wins after spending a fortune pretty much everywhere he's been and underperforming in the league.
ThisPeople haven't exactly been begging for his services tbh.
this has been mooted for a whileSurely Benitez just needs to bide his time and the Valencia job will be his again at the end of the season.
Well, it has. We didn't buy a new team when Di Canio or Advocaat came in, and they gave us enough lift to keep us up. A half decent manager can see a team over the line absolutely.
Not saying they will stay up, but people who think a new manager doesn't make any difference are, frankly, mental.
Couldn't think of a worse manager in a relegation situation tbh. If it was us I'd be gutted.
What's your favourite flavour window?couldn't think of a worse manager?........you would be gutted if sundlund got him as manager?......pamper up 1,he's a good manager,2,there's not a cat in hells chance he would ever consider managing little sundland man![]()
