Newcastle Manager Situation

I imagine they are struggling to persuade their top choices of replacement to go and don't want to just sack him now and be left with no manager during a potentially lengthy period of looking. Do that and 2 games have gone by.

It's probably really frustrating for Newcastle fans but sensible if they can't get who they want. Why be left with no manager at all and if they commit to sacking him now as a statement and everyone turns it down they could be left taking on someone even worse and potentially inflaming the fans even more.

I'm taking the delay as they can't persuade anyone worth having to sign on.

The alternative is that they already have someone ready to come in, but who is wanting rid of someone else. And it could be that which is delaying any announcement. No manager of any worth is going to walk into the toxic set up they currently have, therefore whoever is in the frame wants changes in how the club is organised. I would want final say on any new player coming into the club, and those who go, before I would sign.

Question is whether Ashley is prepared to do that when the model he's operating by has been profitable up to this point.

We had nothing to lose in appointing Allardyce and ripping up that structure. The signs are Ashley is wanting to take more involvement in the running of the club, precisely what a new man would want to avoid.

Interested in talking to the mags according to the daily fail, he's a good manager

I reckon he'd be a complete disaster. He's managed top end players at top clubs for years and still really only got really lucky in the Champions League. Just wait til he sees Taylor and Lascelles
Shite in his last 3 years st Liverpool. Shite and sacked at inter Milan. Shite at Napoli, sacked and now challenging for the league.
Shite and sacked at Madrid.

Won the UEFA cup in his few months at Chelsea. But considering the squad he had it's hardly a big achievement.
