Newcastle Manager Situation

I think Moyes would do well if they went down he could build his side in the Championship and get the fans onside by winning the Championship title.
Sacked from man u he took over a half decent sociedad side and won 12 games in 42 in what I would call a lesser league than the premier league

  • Jonjo Shelvey proving that he has more bollocks than any other player on the park today, he played his fair share of s*** balls (which is going to happen when you try some balls like he does) but he was also involved in everything today, tried to play football and looked like a leader.

I didn't like this bloke previously, but I've got a lot of time for him now.

Sissoko & Wijnaldum were embarrassing today, clearly couldn't give two s***s.

Sadly, the less quality players in our side seem to have the biggest balls. Our big players frequently hide and turn in absolutely s**** performances.

We were playing a team today who have no real stars, no real quality but were organised and wanted to play together as a team. Leicester being a prime example of you not needing quality players, just hard work and good tactics and organisation to succeed. Whereas Chelsea, Man Utd, Everton, Liverpool and us are examples that if you have big players who don't give a s*** you'll end up in a mess.

I'm never one for calling for managers to go, but McClaren has to go now. Sadly with the regime we currently have, even if he does go, we'll not replace him or we'll end up with some old crocker who Ashley owes a favour to.

Unbelievable!!
Jonjo looks like a bollock.

Still can't see why Moyes, Rodgers, or Benetiz would take it like. Toxic atmosphere, second bottom with a team that looks like it couldn't give a shit and super scout Carr in charge of recruitment. If, and it's a big if that they managed to stay up, I could see one of them taking over in the summer but just can't see why anyone of them would take the job on now.

Newcastles problem isn't the manager. It's the players. They have far too many flashy forwards who underperform, and not enough defenders who can fight for a win. Shelvey is their most important player right now.

But it is really hard to see how another coach can turn things around with the current players. I am not even convinced that all of their players actually want to see the club stay up. I think a few of them look like they don't want to be there and want an excuse to leave

I think part of the problem is the lack of relegation clauses in their contracts, they have nothing to lose whether they go down or not. One of the few things the hierarchy at our club have got right.

This also presents a massive financial problem for NUFC in the event of relegation, which is why I think they'll have trouble attracting a "top name" - he'll effectively be lumbered with the same shit squad next season if they go down.

SSN on now saying he arrived at 8 this morning. They thought McClaren had left early as the car that took him left the ground. But he is still there.
