Probably because they know nothing. They've realised attacking Ashley and Charnley is a dead end so go after the public face... The manager. They've done with Pardew and now McClaren. Both crap managers but the only people out there speaking.

According to Edwards, aye I know, Charnley wanted to keep him, hardly surprising he chased him for months and so will look a bit silly having to sack him. Not going to do much for his job prospects if he costs Ashley a load in compensation.

Just hope he convince him to have two more games
 
Tufts will not be sacked yet.

He will pull off two wins against Leicester and Us and then go on to create a dynasty of Premier League titles, FA Cups and Champions League victories.

It was said that Charnley didn't want to sack him. He's also supposedly taking training in the morning, I also wouldn't put it past Ashley not to sack him to piss the journalists off ;):lol:. Where there is life innTufty, there is hope
