Seems like the top candidates are reluctant. I can understand given the situation. Would be short term IMO. Saggy or Kinnear more likely.

Throw a bag of money at a decent candidate and say 'keep us up' and it's yours.

Or throw less money and consider a rebuild like last time around

Not until they find a replacement according to this, well if it takes a few days and he's in charge until they do that's going to be great for spirit.
If a club is going to sack a manager they sack him, they don't make it known they are going to sack him and then let him hang around until they find a replacement
