Of course it is that's what the press want certainly it gives them another few days of the story. It's going to be incredibly difficult for the club to say anything which will put all the questions to rest now.

I would have thought it would have been relatively easy for the club to put the questions to rest...

The crimes had been committed, evidence was shared with Byrne. He was on the field being cheered on by children. It was plain wrong and if it was another club you would be saying the same thing. Take the rose tinted glasses off and accept that the club have made a grave error of judgement.

The club need to offer an apology, Byrne needs to go and then we can move on.

That is an absolute load of shite, I am not a child, don't tell me how I would or would not think.

You have to stick with the law, you have used some god awful analogies in your previous posts, and I think you best just leave it

Yet again, another fan who thinks that your opinion is fact just because you think you are coming down with an argument with the right morals, it might make you sleep better at time, but doesn't mean at night but I and many others don't agree in the slightest, and it doesn't make us bad people.

You're right, but the idea of a 17 year old having sexual encounters seems more palatable than 15 IMO. I can't fathom how a youngster can be deemed incapable of voting or drinking, but can make a decision about their bodies that could stay with them for life and even create a child.

It's warped IMO.
Most the people I knock about with lost their virginity between 14-16. They all seem fine.

His follow up interview.

Why would they mention them explicitly if they hadn't even read the documents?

Are you really asking me the meaning of 'immediately'?

Got a linky?

Because it was alleged they had read them. That was the allegation, that it was explicitly whatsapps and police station interviews that they knew about. So if they haven't read them ... they should deny it.

If by 'immediately' they actually read them, then will you accept SAFC fucked up on this? I think maybe part of our disagreement here is that you are taking immediately to be a cast iron defence they didn't read them. To me, you could say you passed something on 'immediately' while photocopying it first, or reading it first. Immediately might also be passing something on the next time you see a person which is a week later. Immediately to me is a weasel word to not actually explain how long they had it for/ if they read it.

Some Arsenal tosser called me a paedophile as he left train on my way back from the Palace game

I'm not always the wittiest but I made mesel laugh with my response.

As he got off the train and walked up the platform I was leaning out and shouting, in my best Father Ted voice,

"Sure are we all paedophiles now Father?"

I gave it a full rant and kept if up 'til he vanished, I'm still chuckling now ......

You probably just have to grin and bear it for a while tbf, similar to how you have mentioned here:

'It's just how things in the world are, for better or worse'

I accepted it the day he pleaded guilty as did most. Their hero, haway man. He was a footballer that played for my team, simple as that.
As for emotional attachment I've never been emotionally attached to a footballer since I fancied Gary Rowell when I was 13.
the only players I feel anything for now are the ones that appear to like the shirt more than the money, and who enjoy playing the game for what it is. They are very few and far between.

Defending the indefensible is chucked around a lot here, but I think we've finally found the line.

As I said 2000 posts ago, it reminds me of the LFC justice for Suarez people. "Media are biased against LFC and love Ferguson"... "Media are anti-safc, pro-nufc and have it in for the club".

He was aye. The lad needs it for his medical equipment. He apologised for that but mocking a bairn on his big day is still bang out of order. The bloke is a prick who thinks he's hilarious.
I wonder if there's a surgical procedure for getting a size ten boot out of an arsehole? I think he may need it.

Disagree. She had just turned 15. That's a bairn to a 28 year old man.
You're wrong. He's a sexual offender, not a paedophile, however much your brain wants to label him as such.
If we don't learn to differentiate between the 2, then we do a disservice to those really tiny bairns who suffer daily at the hands of clinically depraved paedophiles.
This is still a horrible crime, but let's put it in its proper context.
