Adam Johnson Trial Verdict

Sick of people having a go at Margaret Byrne.

Adam Johnson was a valuable employee to this football club. Not playing him would surely have relegated us and cost the club £100m, making the current annual at the club look minuscule in comparison to what would happen if relegation occured. It was an unethical decision to play Johnson but businesses often have to make unethical decisions to thrive! Margaret Byrne did what she did to save dozens of jobs.
Sorry that's rubbish. IF Byrne knew we should have suspended him. He was awful at the tail and of the season and had very little impact. She allegedly knew in May so this "to keep us up and saved jobs" is bull! You could argue that the BBC where right to cover up all of Savilles abuse because it saved 100s of jobs:confused:

Byrne needs to address this issue. The silence is deafing. The longer she stays quiet on the subject, the more people will speculate.

This but in the world when everybody thinks their opinion is state of the art
Toilet paper rags like the echo are more than happy to source any old shite to flog their fish wrapper .... even if it means publishing utter "me me me" shite like this bellends faux indignation

To the gent in the article please fuck off and never come back

Exactly

Send the letter to the club in private, don't plaster it on the front of a paper you f***ing halfwit, sure that will make the poor lass victim feel better. It is her that he is considered about after all..............

What's as worrying as your post is that 8 people liked it.

I'd agree aye. As much as Byrne has made countless fuck ups, this included, I'm confident that she didn't get the information and keep it to herself. There'll have been discussions at board level where the decision was made.

She certainly deserves her share of the blame, but she's an easy scapegoat for people as well.
Agree completely.

Jesus christ

Did anyone see the bloke complaining about the teacher who told his son that the Easter Bunny wasn't real. Apparently said son went home in shock, he was only seven but come on. That man made the paper two days running, the very hands and face of an attention seeker. What are these schools coming to these days, he mightbserve a writ..............

I think one thing is clear from this thread. The majority of us just want to get on with supporting our team and people like this certainly don't speak for us. We have 10 massive games that could shape the future of this club and we need to be in this together. Anyone taking the moral high ground is causing more damage if anything. I think Byrne will end up resigning, I'm not arsed if she does. I'm more bothered about the people who can get us 14/15 points so that my team dine at the top table next season.

She shouldn't, but she probably will.

Agree though aye. I think its a minority though.

Jesus christ

That post isn't that shocking like, sorry.

One thing that has annoyed me a lot about this sorry episode, is that some people, especially those fans who have been interview on TV, Radio, or journalists, presenters, etc, anyone who has that view point is that they don't realise it doesn't make their opinion fact

They are perfectly entitled to feel that SAFC should have suspended him, that is fine, it's their opinion, but it isn't a 100% issue, myself and I have no doubt thousands of others think the complete opposite.

The balance just isn't there in the media, and it is annoying the fuck out of me. Just because some gonk rights a 3 pages column in The Guardian doesn't mean he is right and that SAFC should answer all these questions.

I'll keep saying it. Why don't the media ask the police why the interview that woman DI gave the other day about Byrne knowing totally contradicts evidence the police gave in court?

Johnson is a big boy, he should know how to not be lured by a 15 year old girl (not saying that he was lured btw).

She has done NOTHING wrong, underage girls can walk about being as "encouraging" as they want. Johnson should have the mental capacity to not actually do it which he evidently doesn't.

Also you being molested has fuck all to do with it.

I agree, except the bits in bold. The first bit - I'm not going over that again, I've said my piece. The last bit gives me perspective that many others on here won't have. I know what a nonce, paedo or child molester is. It's hurtful to think that people perceive this case as equivalent to the awful sexual abuses of terrified young children. I'm absolutely gobsmacked that people can't see the massive difference.

So what?

You don't think in those 800 odd messages there wasn't any content that was a bit suspect? Enough for the club to think this could end badly and therefore put him at arms length until the trial?

But of course, nobody at SAFC read them. I mean, why would they?
Don't you see a problem with the source?

not about AJ. But how the club has been run over the past years.

It is wider than the main thread and needs publicising!

I'd be happy for the club to answer the questions, but only after arsenal explain why they didn't sack Tony Adams. Same goes for the clubs who employed Lee Hughes & both NUFC & the BBC why they let joey Barton work for them.

Jesus f***ing Christ

I now see drink driving (tony Adams) and slapping someone in McDonald's ( jokey Barton) is now the same level of crime as grooming And sexual abuse on wearside

Exactly

Even so, the told SAFC he was a child groomer or whatever, nice one, they are prosecuting him, of course they will say that

They would have said that if they were prosecuting someone who turned out to be innocent as well. Idiots man.
