Adam Johnson Trial Verdict

They are wankers mate.

As I posted on Thursday, personally I would have locked the Johnson threads for 48hrs, until those shithawks have moved onto another story.

The fallout from the Johnson case is a matter between the club and the fans. The rest of the country doesn't care, so it shouldn't be played out in the press

Spot on

It's scary to think my stepmam was 18 and my fatha 32 when they had an affair

30 year later they're still together, happily married and with a Bairn.

3 years is all it takes.

I had a teacher who was 18 when he started seeing his future wife who was 15 at the time (2 weeks before her 16th birthday) . The local media found out and sensationalised it to the point where he was hounded out because of pressure from the parents of the pupils at the school. He had been married to her for over 25 years at the time, with 3 kids to her.

What it is, is complete nonsense.

The QC didn't claim that Johnson admitted that he was guilty of grooming at the meeting with Byrne. The Echo are asking a question that doesn't even need answering. It's absolutely ridiculous.

I agree and my original point was that if I was SAFC I would not answer their questions as they are a complete nonsense!!!

No, she should have gone on other grounds, long ago. I fully understand all of the various opinions on here, and don't pretend to have all of the answers, but I would hope people on here don't just think " this is a great opportunity to get Byrne" and are using a young kid's misery to further their cause. That would be reprehensible.

To be fair, I agree, I've left my opinions on her out of it as I can't be objective.

All it takes is midnight before their 16th to hit and it's suddenly no longer a talking point.

What a snide little creep of a man you are.

You posted this shite at lunchtime yesterday and I challenged you to back it up knowing you couldn't. You follow me around saying things you never back up and then slink off like the weasel you are. You put yourself up as some kind of sensible voice of reason but you're just a hypocrite and a fake.

Don't bother responding with your usual sly drivel, smilies and cracks about Jimmy Hill.

If you had anything about you there'd be a dignified response, an admittance you're wrong or an apology but you're simply not capable.
At best there'll be more snide comments and smilies which is all you can usually manage. As long as you can run off to your sad little pals and get a pat on the head, and likes from the usual obvious knackers, you're happy.

I've apologised numerous times, on here, because I'm twice the man you are ...... so enjoy your day, I'm off to the match with other decent people

Are you trying to tell everybody here you never said you should be writing to the club instead of airing your views on here with regards to this subject??

Hope this isn't too controversial but why is the son forced to remove a photo with him and Johnson, Johnson is a complete idiot but I don't see why the son should get rid of a happy memory. Hope this doesn't sound stupid like

Sick of people having a go at Margaret Byrne.

Adam Johnson was a valuable employee to this football club. Not playing him would surely have relegated us and cost the club £100m, making the current annual at the club look minuscule in comparison to what would happen if relegation occured. It was an unethical decision to play Johnson but businesses often have to make unethical decisions to thrive! Margaret Byrne did what she did to save dozens of jobs.

Thank god I'm not long for this world :(

This is what I posted last night

I have an eight year old daughter who has a season ticket and has already visited 14 different grounds. I have explained everything to her and whywhat he has done is wrong. I can understand taking pictures down out of hiskids room, but not taking him to the match is just daft. He might as well lockhim under the stairs. I've told my daughter that Johnson is nothing to dowith us anymore and to forget about him. I wouldn't force her to go to thegame if she felt she didn't want to because of this. My policy is to be honestand open and let the kids choose themselves.

That paper should be boycotted by any twat daft enough to still subscribe or buy it
I find it inappropriate that this father is using an 8 year old to justify his own feelings. Did he need to bring him into it? Well yes he did so he can get even more attention of course
Dear me using an 8 year old to get money back on his Adam Johnson shirt and framed photo plus refunds on ticket money

This thread could be condensed into about 5pages.
Over 300 pages of mainly guess work and speculation, the truth is nobody knows what was said in Johnson's meeting with Byrne, so no one really knows what the club knew.
Time to move on and leave this sorry affair to take its own course.
Or time for the club to make a statement to put this to bed one way or another.
It's the clubs silence that is fuelling the speculation. I would like them just to be honest now, even if it makes them look bad. Apologise to the girl and let her get on with her life.

Wow...

While I get what you're saying. In hindsight we would have stayed up without him as he barely appeared, don't think he started once.

Think he set up Defoe's goal at Goodison? Probably would have survived without him though (in hindsight)... think it was more 3 clean sheets in the last 4 games that kept us up, along with Defoe's goals and Jordi Gomez's coolness from the penalty spot

Quite embarrassing tbh how many people are now creeping towards making excuses for him. So according to this thread, she was 'nearly 16' (even though that wasn't the case), he is not technically a paedophile (people now becoming overnight experts on paedophilia in they way they did about fascism when they were defending Di Canio), The Sun is a disgrace for reporting it in a way that people don't like, and footballers are thick anyway.

Adam Johnson is responsible for his behaviour. He is the only person responsible for what he did. It is not down to The Sun or the victim. What he did was classic grooming behaviour, abusing his position as one of our players. He knew full well that what he was doing was wrong. There is no excuse, justification, or mitigation for what he did.
