Johnson has done an outrageous and indecent thing. But is it really modern society where 15 yearolds;

  • Try to engage in real life interaction with men 12 years their senior
  • Purchase their friends £50 lingere sets
  • Brag in group messages about wanting to ride people
  • Go to parties and get mortal drunk
?
Victim blaming again

Like I said, that's just what I could think of off the top of my head. Anyone that thinks the likes of the sun, the mail, or other so called newspapers are on some kind of moral crusade here, or give even the very smallest of flying fucks about that young lass, seriously need their heads examined. They will say anything to shift copy. Simple as. And as for the BBC they have their own issues with child abuse, so anything they can do to deflect attention from that, they will.
I'm pig sick of the whole f***ing thing to be honest. I thought when he got lifted that this was going to turn into a cluster fuck. I wish I'd been wrong.

What about the Sunderland Echo and guardian?

You have a strange way of showing it by replying to my post. Discrediting my opinion because of the football team I support, just as you discredit your fellow Sunderland fans because they don't agree with your point of view.
What a sad sad life you lead.

Wheres that pipsqueak Gordon Taylor? Normally you cant move for the creep sticking his nose in having his say on the tv whenever there's a high profile issue surrounding a player. He seems to be in hiding, funny that.
This all day. No sign of the shifty bastard. Did you see the statement the pfa put out yesterday? If you didn't, you didn't miss anything, an entire page of fuck all. How come no one is asking them what advice they gave to the club regarding this?

Nah but the jury has seem all thd evidence and spent every single day in that courtroom. Could you remind us all how you followed the trial please? Sat in the public gallery I take it??
I have said numerous times my opinion is based on what I have seen, ive followed this BEFORE he was arrested, ive seen her posts online, ive seen what her friends have wrote and said about her, I dont think she can be classed as a reliable witness based on what I have seen, and despite having ALL the evidence 2 members of the jury weren't convinced.

So what if you still had to pay him? Some things should supercede 'getting your money's worth'.
I agree but don't suggest it was anything but a horrendous position that Johnson put the club in. When they made their decision they had both the PFA suggesting the lifting the ban and Johnsons own legal team saying they'd win this case. The 'with hindsight' screaming desire to find others to blame for Johnsons misdemeanours is not pleasant. Mistakes may have been made but let's learn from them.

Plenty suggested he should have remained suspended at the time tbf.

Are you some sort of legal expert now to. It's very common practice for a judge to follow thst procedure. If it wasn't do you not think the highest paid QC in the land may have picked up on it?
Of course it is. I was on a jury where this very thing happened. Courts are expensive to run - they can't go on indefinitely.

Taking the moral high ground against Sunderland AFC given the current Saville situation is almost laughable if it wasn't such a sad situation.
If it were an employee of a different public organisation (let's say a religious one) in the exact same circumstances, would some folk on the smb have their moral compass pointing in the same direction?

Every case must be judged on its own merits and by the same standards.

What are you on about? It's not just a question of whether or not he was a danger, its a question of who should be allowed to represent the club, and the community it represents. It's about the kind of people at the top in the club and what they consider to be important. If the club received the messages and/or police transcript, then he should never have played for the club again. Any decision from the top brass to the contrary would be inexcusable. Surely it has to be that simple.
It's is to you, obviously, but the bigger picture shows me that it isn't. We just see things differently, and I'm not alone in this. There's plenty of others who feel the same, and this thread has just turned to be as divisive as the subject in hand.

What was the story BEFORE he was arrested I've missed that.

He took the picture of his groin years ago. It didnt say his knob or penis it specifically said groin?

i think he googled the age of consent because he had fingered her and was panicking imo
Or because they had agreed to meet again and have sex, IF all he had done was kissed her he thought he'd done nothing wrong up until that point decided against going through with it after reading about it, there's plenty of different ways to look at it and without proof no one will know.

That means TEN members were convinced though and it the grand scheme of things that's all that counts.

You have been doing trial by social media and gossip ffs
