Well I don't know diddle - like most on here - and maybe I am naive when I say that I believe the club when it says '.....some documents were received relating to the . case, which were immediately sent to Mr. Pownall for his attention. However, the club was not in a position to make any judgement on the outcome of the case nor on Mr. Johnson's decision to defend all the allegations.......'

As I say, I know squat, but I believe Margaret Byrne is honest and honourable.- - a pretty crap football club CEO - but honest and honourable nonetheless.

There's having an opinion then there's just burying your head in the sand.
To avoid putting any sort of blame on the club we've now turned to there being some sort of police conspiracy where they lie under oath to protect the club.

Can you not see how ridiculous it all sounds?
 
It's looking bleak for our club. The media, quite rightly, are not going to let this go.

Given it was a 10-2 verdict I'm surprised you come to that conclusion tbh. Yes both told lies but the players were a lot more damming imo

Do you belive what he said about the reasons he Google the age of consent?

No. I read lots of reports from different sources most days of the trial. But it was verbatim reports of the texts. It was the reason he was convicted of touching her - the texts clearly indicated what had happened. There were no such texts about the oral sex, so that's why he was found not guilty of that.

What possible reason would there be for the club not to address these - the most important points to be answered - in the statement? It's unfortunately becoming quite clear what's happened here. 99% of people can see it.

I don't know I'm not party to that information, and that's been the basis of my whole argument really, nobody knows, the full truth of the matter, there is no proof either way. It's just pissed me off that while the person who has caused this had the benefit of innocent until proven guilty and a trial with a judge and jury, while the club have undergone trial by media and been judged to be guilty until proven innocent without any of the benefits the twat who caused this has been allowed.
