I wonder if the reporter has asked the parents why they're allowing their daughter to go out meeting men in car parks at night?

I don't believe they're in any way responsible but you'd think a reporter would want to see all sides ....... he said ironically.

People following the case and what the club knew.
It was raised in court that Johnson had told Byrne what he's done & they had full access to the prosecution evidence.

Johnsons admission wasn't mentioned & the club skirted round the question of evidence. Had they said they didn't read it & offered an explanation why that would have been more acceptable.

The problem being that a fairly detailed and lengthy statement by the club managed not to deal with the allegation he made, despite being supposedly a response to the allegation

Up until the time of him setting foot in a court of law he was innocent.
He was perfectly entitled to earn a living from them as his employers.
The club had taken legal advice on whether play him when Dick was the manager.

It's not hindsight at all, I'm basing my views on information that the club had to them in May, namely the text messages.
Having read them, would you have wanted Johnson playing for the club?
 
What was the context in which the QC told the jury that SAFC knew all about the case? How was this meant to help AJ's case?

Put him on gardening leave at the least. Having access to that information there is no way we should have made him available for selection.

But he was pleading not guilty and, according to the statement, he and his legal team expected to get off. It appears the club have been led a dance so that Johnson could maximise his income to the tube of £3M before being sent down.
